Mediocre

Location is convenient but the place doesn’t have a fitness center as it states. Maintenance is slow to respond and the office is unprofessional.

Wonderful apartment

I have lived in a 2br/1ba in Heritage at Shaw Station for 2 years and I absolutely loved it. I'm only moving now because I need a 1br and there are none available.

In my opinion, the complex is in the best location in DC. It is directly across from the metro entrance, two blocks from a new Giant, one block from the new Shaw library, close 9:30 club and all the U St. bars/restaurants, and only about a 20 minute walk to the national mall. The complex is VERY reasonably priced for the area and...
the price INCLUDES parking. Plus, you can pay your rent with a credit card without a service fee so I was earning tons of credit card rewards during my time here.

The apartments themselves are quite nice. The walls are very thick so you aren't listening to your neighbors conversations all day. The AC/heating is accessible via an online system so you can change it while you're at work. I've never run out of hot water, even when running the dishwasher and having 3 or 4 people shower. Jenny (the property manager) and Pedro (main maintenance guy) have been incredibly responsive to any issues. They take great care of the buildings. The cleaning crews come through every week day and they do complex-wide preventative pest treatments 4 times a year (in my time here I only saw two house centipedes, no other bugs).

I can't recommend this place highly enough.
