Awful

By far the worst apartment complex in Birmingham. Management is flat out awful. If you need reliable internet for studying, tests, etc...DO NOT MOVE HERE. We had mold in our bathroom, called for a maintancence request...didn't hear back for three days. Everytime I put in a maintenance request, either the lady that answers the phones forgets, or they do not care. Have not had air for 3 weeks. My truck got stolen, they have no cameras. Washer/dryers don't work half the time. I just can't express... how awful the management is. Do yourself a favor and choose apartment where management actually tries to do their job.

Do not live here.

Management is terrible. We've sent requests for MONTHS with no reply. Bad neighborhood, there was an armed robbery in the parking lot. Places are nice inside, but the management is honestly so bad I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to live here. They're even aware of our requests and one time I went in commented "Aren't you the same person who said that five months ago?" YES, yes I am... And it's been another month and a half with nothing done. They decided to have a property inspection the week of... Thanksgiving and gave notice less than twenty-four hours in advance. Since the management still hasn't spoken with the residents, we have no idea who will be in our apartment. Both my roommate and I were uncomfortable with a stranger being in our apartment alone, but we can't get back in town or see if anyone else could be there on such short notice. I called to see if other arrangements could be made, but the person was rude and no help (kept repeating "It's the property manager" as if I was an idiot and the title would make the person less of a stranger).

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Fox hall has been a joy to live in overall. It's very nice on the inside, allows pets, and is close to UAB's campus and many other attractions of downtown Birmingham. There is one safety issue I do not like and that is that we do not have peep holes on our doors, therefore, we do not know who is at the door when they knock. The management has said they would install peep holes but it has been a couple of months and we haven't seen that happen. The laundry room's card readers are almost never... functional also. There is always parking and the neighbors are very nice. Overall I would rate it as an 8/10. I
