Management is nonresponsive to issues, not secure or safe

This apartment complex does not make any effort to ensure security as fences are broken and never repaired and the gates are broken more often than working. There are many college students here, being typical college students. Cars are constantly broken into and even our apartment with a 2nd floor balcony was attempted to be broken into twice but thankfully, my alarm scared them away. There are no security cameras and mangements standard answer is to call the police. Many residents smoke... weed in the complex and although the contract states that it is not allowed, management will do nothing about it. Our apartment, clothing and furniture constantly smelled of weed and was giving us migraine headaches. No help from management although they were contacted MANY times. The dog poop bags are never filled and residents leave dog poop laying everywhere to contaminate other dogs. Management is plain non responsive to any matters and hard to even reach on the phones. Be ware!

Be Aware

Tried to move in early December '22. Got told my move in date was the 5th. I was moving different cities so I went off of the move in date that we agreed upon. Got Uhaul and came to town. When I arrived I was told the background check was not back yet and was unable to move in but "should be soon" that they get that back. (I move alot and never have had a background check take longer than 48 hours.) I am also moving with a dog so places to stay are limited due to that fact. I called multiple... times the following days checking the status. The only answer I got was "I'm sorry it is taking so long but there is nothing we can do". "We will check on it." No problem. So I waited.. Calling back daily. Same answers. I asked for the contact info for the management company so I could actually get an answer. I was not given any information and was still told, "I'll call them and check." Still nothing. So hundreds of $'s later with hotels and such, and with a full uhaul and no ETA. They said, "It could take 2 more days, it could take 2 more weeks." Eventually, after a full week I quit and went to another apartment. I had the keys and moved in 2 days later to a new Apt. I would give 0 stars if I could. The staff is friendly, but take no responsibility and make nothing happen. I am very happy I went to another complex.

Property Manager at Lakeshore Ridge responded to this review

Thank you for reaching out. We apologize for this inconvenience, however, this situation was out of our control. This was due to the background check results being delayed. We called the company three times to get updates and to try to speed up the... process, but we were unsuccessful. Our company policy is that we must get a completed background check on all applicants before they can move in. If you would like to discuss this further, please reach out to our office at your earliest convenience.

Best Value for the Price

I looked at a lot of apartments and I lived at both Woodmere Creek and Lakeshore Ridge. Lakeshore Ridge was superior in every way for about the same price. I lived in an "upgraded" apt. at Woodmere. It was small, dirty, ugly, and there were constant water leaks in the building. The gate out front was always broken with no attempt to fix it that I saw. You could also hear every step the neighbors took. At Lakeshore Ridge, I had a 1 bedroom on the top floor. Even though the sq. ftg was... supposedly the same as the Woodmere 1 bed, the rooms and bedroom closet were much larger at Lakeshore Ridge. The apt. was clean, had a nicer balcony and, being on the top floor, had great high, lofted ceilings. The apt. was also much more soundproofed than at Woodmere. It was very quiet and peaceful. What's more, Red Mountain Park is less than a mile away from Lakeshore Ridge and it has miles of trails. There is also a convenient Walmart, loads of restaurants, and a gas station right outside the complex. In my opinion, there is no contest between the two complexes. If you can get a top floor unit at Lakeshore Ridge, snag it.

I have lived here for several years and I wont move. Maintenance is always quick and gets the fix done right the first time. The office staff is the absolute best! they are always so helpful and pleasant to speak with. I hope I never have to move out!

Lakeshore Ridge Review

I moved in 3 years ago. We have had several problems with our power bill being extremely high and no one ever fixed it or tried to fix it. They did compensate us a small amount once. The management has changed once and maybe twice since I have lived here making it difficult to get things done or build a relationship with staff. There is always dog poop everywhere. I can always smell marijuana when walking through the complex. Not managements fault, just something to consider if you don't want... your home to smell that way. Our water heater caught on fire twice and it took much longer than it should have taken to fix it. The air conditioning unit was leaking into the water heater causing it to short out and catch on fire. The first night it happened the maintenance man was quick to help but he only put a bandaid on it and it caught on fire again the next day because he did not return in a timely manner to completely fix it, causing us to call the fire department twice. Overall, I felt safe living here but I am ecstatic to leave.
