THE WORST

THE ABSOLUTE WORST APARTMENT IN MONTGOMERY ALABAMA! COMPLETE SCAM!
- no parking by 8PM ( they request you park in Dillard’s or BUY a garage)
- breaker is constantly going out
- MOLD BEHIND THE SHOWER ( They blame the minerals in the water)
- faulty heater
- no storage space in apartments
- no access to seeing a real space before moving in!
- fan does not shut off unless you turn the light off
- HORRIBLE RESPONSE TIME
- EVEN WORSE STAFF

I will stand outside the rental office for the entire...
winter to make sure NO ONE RENTS FROM THIS HORRIBLE COMPLEX BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT RELEASE YOU FROM YOUR LEASE EVEN THOUGH THIS APARTMENTS ARE NOT LIVABLE!

THE MORGANS ARE HORRIBLE

I would never suggest living at the Morgans to my worst enemy. This place sucks so bad. The staff lies. The apt was put together in all of 30 minutes. The appliances NEVER work. And dont worry, the staff will not fix it. Oh and if your power goes out, nobody cares. The morgan SUCKS

Many annoying little things.

I couldn't agree more with others have said before: this place looks nice on the outside, but was built in a rush, poor paint job, cheap material and appliances. The dishwasher is so loud we couldn't have it on when we were at home. If you live on the second floor you can hear the couple downstairs fighting while the kids upstairs think they are at a trampoline park. There are always puddles of water in the parking lot because it is not well leveled. They use the sprinkler system too often. The... sprinklers even spray your car which leaves nice little stains on it which can only be polished out. The parking situation is indeeed horrible. However, some residents contribute to it: since they are unwilling to walk more than 30 seconds to their apartment they leave their car at the nearest curb. I was excited to learn management would issue tickets regarding this, but the idea was only short-lived, maybe for legal reasons. Residents don't pick up after their dog with some even letting their dog go on the stairwell. It took days until it was picked up. Residents also think they can use the trash cans by the mailboxes to dispose of their personal trash (fast food wrappings, etc), even when it is already overflowing and paper scattered everywhere. The dumpster overflows every weekend. The pedestrian entrance broke after six months and was not replaced, so anybody could just walk in, no controlled access. The leasing staff is nice when you talk to them, but incompetent. They couldn't even calculate our rent right. And you would think that is the least they know how to do.
With that being said I would like to point out two big pros to me: the location and the pool. It was incredibly conveniently located to many restaurants and shops and I frequently walked as far as Target, too. Also being so close to I-85 is a big plus and not having to deal too much with all the traffic coming up from Deer Creek, etc. The pool is awesome and only gets crowded on the weekends. I also enjoyed that it was open year-round which is not the case in many other neighborhoods in the area, like Deer Creek. However, I'm not sure if the automatic lock at 10pm isn't a safety issue. If you don't leave in time you may be forced to climb the fence.
Conclusion: if you only plan on living there for a short amount of time and not indefinitely, this is a good place to be.

Disappointed

The Morgan at Eastchase's location is terrific, but otherwise, it is increasingly a hassle to live there. The parking situation is untenable. They have a whole building with no parking, so every evening becomes a game of musical chairs for the cars. People end up parked creatively on the sidewalk, in fire lanes, you name it and there is still not enough parking to go around. Sadly, this complex was built in a rush and it shows. From a shoddy paint job to constantly breaking appliances, this is... far from luxury living. The staff is all super-nice, but they have one maintenance guy for this whole huge place that was built with chewing gum and twine, so you can be waiting weeks or months for any repair not deemed an emergency. It is a shame they didn't follow through and make this as nice as it could have been. A little more time and money and this would be the premier location in East Montgomery. As it is, it looks good at first blush, but is of low quality in many ways.
