My top reasons why not to rent here:
2. One month into me living the man next door killed himself with the bullet exiting the back of the building. The hole is still there as they have not sealed it. Its been 5 months since that incident. I was also disturbed because my childrens bedroom shares the wall where that man killed himself. We were lucky as we were not in the apartment when it occurred.
1. I can hear every single footstep from the people above me as I am on the 1st floor. It is no... fault of theirs as this place is older and the walls and floors are extremely thin. I also remember hearing conversations from my neighbor daily. No one has rented that apartment since his suicide.
2. There is a small hole a the bottom of my two bedroom windows. I questioned to fix this but was told it was normal for drainage. It is not normal for air, water anything at a window-sill to not be sealed. The fix never occurred and it could be the reason why a 900 sq foot 2 bedroom apartment has a 130.00 dollar electrical bill every month. I keep my temp at 81 degrees also. My old house was twice the size and I paid 160.00 a month
3. One month into me living here my 15 lb dog was attacked 2 feet in front of my door by a pitbull. On their website it states no aggressive dog breeds and dogs only under 50 lbs. There are aggressive and big dogs throughout the property. I was told those tenants were ok to have their pet, I guess they got the $70.00 paper that states their dog is a emotional support animal. That person disappeared and I am out a nice vet bill.
4. I never gave a 30 day vacate notice and went to the office on 2 occasions prior to my 30 day vacate and was never provided any information that they needed for my vacate. I was also told by the manager that I was suppose to have a paper put on my front door about my intention to vacate. The Director of the management place MEB also told me I should of received a 45 day advance notice prior to my vacate date. I was lied to 3 times by 3 people. Now I have to vacate 2 weeks after I wanted to. I was never late on any payment and have had no management issues, but they never once have wanted to maintain my business.
5. Transients and homeless people sort through the trash 2-3 times daily. I was disturbed when I saw some paperwork and my trash laying on the ground in front of the trash can. Everything I wrote is true, if you want to live here you might have a different experience.GOOD LUCK
