But if you want a comfortable, quiet, established, reasonably priced apartment, Country Club Apartments is hard to top. And because of that, while places become available, it's rare the 120-room complex doesn't have full occupancy.

It has two great selling points: location and free utilities. The first is a big deal as rent continues to increase significantly in some of Tucson's trendier trending areas. You know. Where the concept of hipsters and trust-fund millennial students runs the rates...
out of reach of a lot of actual working Tucsonans. The well-maintained 120-unit complex is a mile from the east portion of the UA campus, and right on a bus line. It's a 10-minute drive from Fourth Avenue and downtown, where much of the city's nightlife centers. And again, it's pretty easy to get to those locations if you prefer Tucson's quirky public transportation options.

I hope you're sitting as you read this part, but Tucson, being a desert city and all, can get rather toasty in the summer. As a result, air conditioning is a really good thing. Unfortunately, air conditioning can also be a very expensive thing. That is, unless you happen to rent an apartment from a place that pays for utilities, including the aforementioned air conditioning.

The community pool and jacuzzi are hardly used, and a community barbecue under the ramada was recently added. A small weight/fitness room is on the premises as well.

Drawbacks: some units do not have dishwashers, and none of the units have washer/dryer setups, although there are two community laundry rooms on the property.
