2024 - THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR PLACE

I don't know how the blended score makes a 5 star when the 1 stars should bring this to a 3 at least. This place is fine if you are looking for a temporary place for a year to 2 years at most. They have a horrible habit for not fixing anything around the complex or in your apartment. They allow the garbage areas to literally over flow with mountains of trash. and it feels like they only clean it when they're showing new apartments or its literally trash day. The "secured" parking has had their... doors completely broken, allowing anyone to walk in (2 cars were broken into last week). It took 3 years to update the mail boxes because they were being pried open. The amenities, the pool, and the gym, are SOMETIMES open for use but they also are SOMETIMES locked up because management "forgets" to open them.

Just Poor Management

I've lived here for seven years.. Mainly out of convenience.
Recent talks with the leasing office have given me the need to share about this complex. I find myself counting down the days till we move. The communication here has just gotten so awful to the point that the last four times I have tried to call the office their phone has been down.

Pros: Unlimited parking, laundry in unit, rent increases aren't awful, maintenance team is very friendly, good location, pool and gym kept pretty clean...
(except for the outdoor furniture), overall layout of unit is nice.

Cons: Tons of construction without notice (very loud, wet paint on floor, etc.), management is a rotating door (Not even sure who the current manager is), communication is the worst (water gets turned off almost every other week, and again constant construction), parking garage gates never work, avoid a unit by the trash as it is always backed up, mail gets stolen, the electrical wiring is outdated (don't run a hair dryer with other appliances), termite problems, leaking when it rains, not all amenities have come back since covid, layout of complex can be confusing for deliveries and isn't very accessible.

All in all if the office was better at communicating and had a functioning phone we wouldn't hate living here as much as we do. So its a fine place when you don't need assistance or there isn't any construction.

Apartments are good, area is fun, but...

I've lived in this complex twice. The apartments are nice but are honestly not well maintained. We have been here over 3 years now and have seasonal issues with drain flies coming out of the pipes, as well as wasp nests which they don't seem overly concerned about and have left me to deal with.
The floorplans are spacious but the bedrooms are pretty small, and have a weird layout that is angular. The complex itself is in a great location -- you can walk to just about everything, including...
Vons, Starbucks, Subway, the Packing House (which is super fun) and downtown Anaheim (which is still trying to be fun).
The only concerns that I have is that the maintenance calls take a while. Granted, I haven't had an emergency or anything, but it has taken a while to get things taken care of and they seem to want to cut corners. For example, outside laundry door was rotting as it was perpetually exposed to rain. They replaced the door, but I suggested putting an awning up to protect the doors, which they shrugged at and muttered something about asking management. The interiors are ok but the closets need to be updated.
Also, this complex offers monthly discounts on rent to Disneyland employees, which is a BIG DEAL. So there are a lot of Disney folks here. They tend to be quiet but the multi-roommates tend to also be a bit noisy at night as they blow off steam.
The major issue is that there tends to be some hoodlums and transients in the immediate area. We have seen some issues with tagging, transients sleeping in hidden places on the grounds, and one guy even decided to urinate in the corner of the elevator room, which is completely gross.
So, I would really consider that when moving here. We haven't had any issues with car break ins but others have. They have a parking garage which seems to help but on the street, make sure and not leave your car unlocked or valuable things in sight. Someone tried to break in to our apartment once (and succeeded in the apartment next door, as the door was unlocked. That's only happened once and seems to be an isolated incident. I don't think the complex in general has trouble with that.
Other than that the immediate neighborhood is pretty quiet in general.

Needs Improvement

I've continued to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but keep getting disappointed. The elevators are constantly breaking down and years overdue for their licensure. The apartment above me has potted plants that nearly landed on my mom's head and I've asked the office to tell them to take them down or at least require them to secure it in place but they haven't addressed it at all.

But to top it off, I'm extremely upset right now. I've been discussing the club house (by the pool) rental...
for 2-3 weeks now and have mentioned it being on a Sunday repeatedly with no issues. I find out a week and a half before the date that apparently Sundays can't be done. If I had been told this at the beginning, I wouldn't be upset but the fact I've been specifically saying it's on this date on Sunday without any warning until now is extremely unprofessional especially over the coarse of the 2-3 weeks I've been inquiring about it and now I have to relocate the party, change the date, or even cancel it since it's just around the corner.

The funny thing is there's literally cops, a pastor, teachers, and several nurses that are supposed to attend the party, some with kids in tow... how crazy can it really get.

Worst Apartment Experience Ever

If I could give this complex no stars, I would. I've been living here for six months and I'm moving out at the end of the month because I can't take it anymore. Maintenance takes four separate visits after nine calls to fix major plumbing and electrical issues you've had for months. They make you buy a garage clicker to park and the clickers break almost weekly and have to be reprogrammed. There's next to no visitor parking when it does break, and they tow from future resident parking even if... you're not on a lease. They failed to complete the leasing process but still processed checks from my household, and then wouldn't let the rest of the household renew without an extra approval process, since they'd lost the paperwork the first time around. The office lost paperwork with sensitive information on it and made no effort to find it, and failed to inform us that we had to re-submit pay information when that paperwork couldn't be found. Maintenance (finally) completed a call and left, then returned 20 minutes later without knocking and continued to enter even when they saw me unclothed, which was incredibly rude and made me feel unsafe. I have never had so many repeatedly bad experiences with a complex in my life. I can't be the only one who thinks you shouldn't have to find time during the work day once a week to go to your complex office and have your garage clicker fixed and have them refuse to give you a new one.
