Shadow Creek Apartments is a very reasonably priced, hidden gem of an apartment located in the heart of Campbell. A mile away from the Pruneyard, this apartment complex deservedly has earned a place in my heart. Pet-friendly AND kid-friendly with full size washers and driers - - can't get any better than this. The master bedroom has a closet three times the size of Harry Potter's cupboard under the stairs. The management is friendly and responds to inquiries within a couple of days.

ShadowCreek Appartments
This is a great place to live for a young professional. Large clean rooms for a price that, while expensive by any other city's standard, is actually not bad for South Bay. The amenities are nice and it is really convenient to have a washer/drier in the apartment. Pool is kept clean and the gym is decent. All in all, I would definitely consider living here again.

A place that works for the time being
The location of Shadow Creek is great. You're right around the corner from downtown Campbell. So there isn't much foot traffic, but you're a short stroll away from all the local shopping and restaurants. There is a loud bar and questionable places of business across the street, so noise can be a factor on Friday/Saturday nights. The apartments themselves are ok. Thinner walls give you the ability to hear all of your neighbors. They provide older appliances (which is frustrating for the price!)... that can cause minor headaches. However the gentlemen they have staffed for maintenance live on site, are very kind and trustworthy, and you do not have to contact management multiple times to get things done. The laundry rooms are cleaned frequently, and they use a card system for security. The only downside to that is that there are only two loading stations, I think? They don't mention this when signing the lease, we had to find out from neighbors how the system worked exactly. They do have a pool and sauna that are not regularly cleaned, or cleaned well when it is. It would be nice if they had a net there so you could clean it yourself,as needed. However, there is absolutely no security at this residence. Even if they state there is, they are dispatched from another side of California and essentially never show up. I had my car broken into and had no one show up that night, I didn't have a way to contact management, and could not get police to show up (Campbell address but Campbell Police will not show up, but they're happy to give you a ticket in the area though! San Jose Police Dept is who answers to the area for emergencies, and well... they are too busy to say the least). Management is great when Kathryn is there. When she was out, they sent temps or the area manger who sent horribly incorrect notes which gave me a HUGE amount of concern (i.e. stating that my rent check was $50 short, and I had write my checks every month, so it's not even possible. Not to mention the amount of rent stated was also incorrect.) Never received an apology for all of the confusion and frustration. So we stayed away from the office until she returned. Not that anyone was even there during their posted business hours. They didn't even have the courtesy to tell residents that those hours had been changed. But, since she has been back, it all seems to be back to normal. Hopefully they don't loose her! So, the benefits here are the staff and location. And that's about it.
