I Hate it here

Water rarely gets hot in the shower and all they told us was it was because of where our apartment was located. Maintenance came to our apartment and said they had to talk to their supervisor and never returned.

Our apartment gets incredibly hot during the summer and the AC has to remain on all day to stay comfortable costing a lot for our energy bill.

The oven does work properly and neither does the microwave.

Our neighbors next store smoke and the comes into our apartment through the...
ceiling vent in the bathroom. I submitted a request to fix that and received a response.

Their laundry machines are always broken and don’t properly drain.

I could go on. Don’t stay here, pay a little extra and live somewhere else.

$4500 to move in!!!

Last month I applied to move here due to it's very cheap pricing. I put down the $250 holding deposit and paid the application fee upfront. Thomas was helpful when gathering the funds to begin the application. We got everything squared away and when I showed up to get the key they said that my move in payment was $4500! All because I was a first time renter with good credit and make double the rent in income. Now thomas started to get very rude when I was calmly trying to talk about getting my... deposit back. He yelled and cut me off every chance he could. I hope you guys read this and take this into consideration before signing a lease here.

Every night I wished I didn't live here!

Cockroaches, asbestoses, flooding, garbage piles, NOT smoke free

Towed my car the first month I was there, because the temporary parking pass they gave me "expired" even though they told me it wouldn't expire. It cost me $400 to get my car and only a "sorry our bad" from the staff.

Reported cockroaches, then they took several weeks before they kicked me out of my apt for a day. The cockroaches were gone for about two weeks before coming back. I had to get my own way to get rid of them.

The...
horrendous plumbing flooded my kitchen FIVE times while living there for four years, for college. Two of the times they kicked me out of the apartment to dry them.

The office staff changes every couple months, and all but one of the groups of office staff were nice. The rest only cared about new tenants coming in.

The trash piles high and smells terrible but the staff does nothing to fix it. On trash days, liquids from the dumpsters pours down the parking lot making the whole place wretched smelling. None of the staff even tried to clean it up when I would tell them.

"Smoke free complex" is a BLATANT LIE. Almost every apartment reeked of weed and smoke, which was terrible when I have health problems made worse by smoke.

The pool/hot tub stench of chlorine is nauseating and the water makes you feel slimy and disgusting.

The responses to the problems I brought to the attention of the office staff were always positive but by the time the told me the fixes were coming a new office staff would appear nothing would ever get fixed.

I would wish my worst enemies to live there and also the apartment ceiling can leak asbestoses, but the staff just tell you to let them know if a ceiling leak occurs. If your a student looking for a place to live across from CSUF like I was... DONT PICK HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great place to live

Its directly across the street from calstate and it is also one of the only apartments in the area that pays for all the utilities but light and WiFi. It is very family and student friendly. Overall the staff is friendly and maintance has a 24 hour hotline. Even at 2am they will fix your issue and still be friendly.
It would be five stars but the only downside is that they have a very strict visitor parking policy, the violation of which can lead to towing. Also it is mostly college residents,...
so every so often there are parties that you can see. Management tries to stay on top of it by issuing citations if several noise complaints are issued.

Great for students

Right across the street from CSUF, my wife and I share a two-bedroom with another couple. The maintenance crew is great, so the apartment is always kept in good repair. Trash and landscape is done weekly in the mornings, so the exterior looks nice as well. There is a lot of foot and vehicle traffic, but it is near a school, an off-ramp, and a busy intersection so it is to be expected. Management is very respectful. I rated four stars because it can get a bit noisy outside, but security and local... law enforcement do a good job.
