I do not feel safe here.

First a man tried to break into my bedroom through the window in the middle of the night. He was outside my apartment, beating on the window, which is single pane and flimsy. I called Solazzo’s security line, but they had nobody nearby and the man got away. Instead of putting bars over the window or replacing it with a stronger window, Solazzo management gave me a lock that you can buy on Amazon for two dollars. It only keeps the window from being slid open sideways, and doesn’t make any... difference if someone is trying to push the window in.
Then someone scraped my car in the garage and I asked management if they had security cameras in the garage that might have told me who did it. Management told me they do not have any security cameras in the garage. Lighting in the garage is also not good.
A few months later, someone ransacked my car, stealing items from it, when it was parked in the same garage. You would have thought that management would have known it was a good idea to install security cameras, but they still had none. So again, I can’t find out who the perpetrator is.
At the same time that management refuses to take security measures, they are squeezing current tenants with big rent increases. We are paying more money despite the fact that management has closed many of the amenities. I believe their rent increases illegally violate the limitations on price gouging that apply under the current state of emergency declared in California.
I can’t wait to get out of here in a few months. Management is greedy and does not care about the safety of the tenants.

work crew lowers rating

Lived here 13 months. Close to UCSD.Lots of shopping walking distance.Plenty of parking.Tenants friendly and respectful. Units spacious and plenty of closet space. Office staff available and helpful. PROBLEM-work crew. These guys loiter around all day and hide out in stairwells and cubby holes all day. They could easily cut the crew in half if they worked an honest 8 hour day. .Scarry to think they have pass keys to the units..They are the dominant atmosphere starting at 8am. No accountability or... oversight

Horrible place to live

Had a horrible experince here from start to finish. I have never lived somewhere that I have dreaded coming home to until now. My husband and I moved in at the height of construction. We knew this and did not complain about the noise. But we did complain about the dirt, trash, and trip hazards left by construction workers. This place looked like a war zone on a daily basis. On top of that residents allow their dogs to pee on the walking paths so if you weren’t dodging construction hazards you... were dodging pee puddles. The last straw was when a family of four moved in above us. These are one bedroom 600sqft apartments. There made constant noise and complaints to the leasing office yielded no results. Our sleep, jobs, and sanity were affected by these people. We tried to break our lease early given this problem but the leasing office would only let us out 20 days early. Stay away from this place. Horribly run.

If I could leave 0 stars I would! TERRIBLE!!!!!

This place is absolutely unjustifiably terrible. They breached their contract by lying about how long the construction would last. About the noise level. About everything. NEVER MOVE HERE. The corporate office is not helpful. I had to wait an entire month before I could move out because they took so long to get back to me. They tried to charge me a two month penalty plus a 30 day notice to break my lease even though they were the ones that breached their contract. So I got a lawyer and had to... deal with a lawyer contacting them and figuring out how I could break my lease without being penalized because they were the ones at fault. Absolutely ridiculous. I’ve never experienced such a disaster when living in an apartment complex. The construction went on the entire time I lived there I moved out and then they are trying to charge me $400 for the carpet to be replaced. Claiming that there were cat pee stains underneath once they ripped up the carpet. Not sure what gave them the idea to rip up the carpet when there were no stains, it wasn’t damaged, there was nothing wrong with it, and yet my deposit return was $424 less than it should have been. I’m still dealing with this mess and I don’t even live there anymore. Never move into an Irvine company apartment. It will be the biggest mistake of your life.

Okay community.

The community is well kept overall, however there service can be improved. Also, there is huge remodeling happening, which may be good for future - but not for anyone looking to move there due to constant construction.
