Flawed units, understaffed managment, not worth premium rent

The images are really nice, and the units tour well. But here's my experience after living here for less than 6 months:

- The kitchen space is much small than it appears. Despite the number of cabinets and having an entire island, the cabinets are about 1 ft deep. If you tour, pull out the drawers all the way. We've been struggling to fit our pots and skillets anywhere.

- During the tour, shut off the lights. If your unit has long rooms, you might not be getting a lot of natural light.

-...
Packages get stolen here if you leave it out for days. The Amazon lockers here must not be easy to use, because the mail persons will leave out your package on the floor the majority of the time. USPS was not picking up my return, and after 4 days of checking in on it daily, on the fourth day it completely busted open by a thief.

- Yes, the AC does leak on your floor. The central cooling system has been great so far, probably the only good thing about our unit.

- Our unit was so incredibly dirty when we moved in. It took 7 passes with a swiffer wet jet until pads weren't coming out completely caked in dirt. The white countertops stain and scratch easily.

- The entrance/mail room has an alert that loudly beeps every couple days. It's frustrating to be paying so much in rent, only to have incessant beeping in your ears while you wait for the 1 elevator to arrive. It doesn't leave a great impression with guests.

- The alarm testing they did was ridiculous. From about 9am to 12pm, our unit went off every couple minutes. It made it impossible to take video calls while working from home, and it's distressing for pets. Fixing the elevator also made every alarm go off about 2-3 times. The fire alarm has gone off twice in the middle of the night as well (one of them happened the day they did alarm testing).

- The Latch key system they use for doors is not easier to use than a key or a key fob. You must have a phone and key on you at all times — even for small stuff like picking up the mail. I've been locked out because I took an alternate route than usual, and a regular key does not open the front lobby.

- The onsite managers are very kind. The building they took over is flawed, and the fixes aren't easy/fast. Unfortunately, they're severely understaffed. I don't see the condition of this building improving without the parent company hiring more people to take care of their units.

Overpriced, unsafe - daily theft (mail + personal property)

Leaking air conditioner, mail theft every day, package theft, do not put anything in the 'secured' garage or it will be stolen. Half of the doors to enter the building do not work, alarms go off for hours all the time. These apartments are priced around $600-$700 a month over what they should cost. It is not a luxury building - the photos are just very good. You will regret it if you move in here. Management is non existent, they are MIA and there have been like 7 managers since we moved in....
