The new management company and the manager Anna have been wonderful taking care of the complex. I have spoke to the manager on many occasions about things needing to be done and she has been so helpful. There were so many abandoned cars before she came and now it a lot less. I'm grateful we have a manager who lives on-site & has done great job in cleaning up & taking care of us tenants. Very helpful, and she has grate communication. Thank you!

The Carla
“The Carla” apartments formerly the Sinclair Since Ana has got here it’s been a drastic change. She cares about the community and has already made so many improvements (the pool, lights work at night, pressure washed the exterior and SHE ANSWERS THE PHONE) before the phones were never answered trash wasn’t picked up daily I am hoping she stays! You can tell Ana really cares about the community she manages

Stay away
I have lived here many years because until recently, it was a wonderful place to live. In the past year the complex was bought out by a new management company, and it has declined significantly. There is now trash everywhere, dead and dying landscaping, dog poop, physical fights, unattended children, and worst of all, ROACHES. Don't move in here! The complex manager does not seem to care about this place at all!

Think twice before moving in.
I am a current tenant at The Sinclair Apartments. Unfortunately, in the past year I have seen a huge decline in the quality of living here. It's a beautiful property, however, this property has developed many issues since being taken over by DJA Properties.
The first issue is with the cleanliness of the property. In general, the ground is covered with trash and all of the landscaping is dying. Most sprinkler heads are malfunctioning and either letting water pour out into the road or shooting... water straight up in the air like a geyser,and management has been made aware of this but has done nothing. So much water is being wasted! The biggest issue with cleanliness, though, is the ROACHES. Apartments are getting sprayed every so often, but this has done nothing to solve the problem. After getting sprayed, the roaches are back within a few months. Management has told us that roaches are "native to this area" but this complex never had issues with roaches before.
The next issue is with maintenance on the property. A large part of the problem seems to be management deciding that various issues are not worth their time. In addition, since DJA Properties has taken over, all maintenance seems to have fallen to one man. He is very nice, but quite obviously has no training or expertise and speaks limited English. For an issue regarding the air conditioning (it was over 85 degrees inside the apartment) he provided a dehumidifier as a solution. For an issue regarding the weather strip on the front door, there was an attempt to fix the gap but ultimately it did nothing to solve the problem. The pool fence was replaced and jagged pieces of rusty metal were left scattered in the grass where children and pets could easily get hurt. It is unfair to the residents and to Jorge (the maintenance man) to expect so many issues to be solved by someone without the requisite training.
There are more things that I could list. Abandoned vehicles and cars parked in the fire lane at all hours that are never towed, the recycling bins getting bolted shot leading to many people tossing their recyclables in the trash or even onto the ground, dog poop everywhere, slow turn around time for any problems, violent fights happening in the complex with no repercussions, rent increasing on top of the quality of living here decreasing. All of these issues lead back to the same place: lack of proper management. I no longer feel safe and comfortable in my home, and that's the bottom line.
