I am resident of River house apartment and have been a resident here for 1 year. Today I approached the office in order to speak with management in regards to my concerns regarding the properties security and the lack of it. We have had multiple incidents inside the gated community where individuals catalytic converters have been stolen over the past couple of weeks yet management refuses to hire overnight security, claiming that there is nothing they can do about it. Management has placed 10... storage containers inside the property thus decreasing the parking available for residents who pay $50 a month for a parking pass yet most of the time residents have to find street parking because the lack of parking available due to the storage containers.Today I decided it was time to bring my concerns to Bill the property manager. Bill was very unprofessional and continued to interrupt me mid sentence and frequently ignored me as I was talking he then stood up as I was talking and walked away then told me to leave although I had not finished bring up my concerns he then proceeded to say the office was closed and that I had to leave. If you are looking to become resident at River house apartments I strongly encourage that you look elsewhere.

Never Parking and Management Never Answer Phones
I have spoken with many residents and we all agree that parking is an issue for us two bedroom residents. We are supposed to have an assigned parking plus an additional parking on open spaces. However, there are never any open spaces because parking is not regulated as this new management claims to be. There is no point in the permits that were handed out as there are always cars without permits parked with no consequence. The gate remains open most of the time with homeless people roaming as... they please; We are right next to the riverbed so this is common. The only good thing is the pool, but it is usually crowded on the weekends, and summer with visitors. The manager does not like vendors coming in claiming they "disturb" the peace, but he has no problem allowing his pals to play music really loud from their homes or cars. The people at the office NEVER answer the phones. Count yourself lucky if they do answer. Also, they do not care about our residents' concerns. They allow all the construction men to park in our spots and allow big containers to take up most of the parking space. In addition, many are being rented for profit, instead of having those available to the residents that need it and were promised parking when we signed our contracts. The previous management was a million times better. They actually had a security. After they left parking is a mess and there have been reported assaults happening inside our unclosed gates.

Property Manager at River House Apartments responded to this review
We are sorry you feel that you’ve had a negative experience in our community. The well-being of our residents is our main property, and our staff is committed to creating a comfortable and enjoyable environment. Our gate stays open during the day for... everyone’s convenience, but it is closed at night. We understand that parking is an issue in most apartment communities, and we are working toward solutions. We are in the process of renovating our community to create an even more comfortable living space for our residents. Our renovation crews are allowed to park in our open unassigned spaces during the day only and are given temporary dashboard permits that identify them as R3 construction workers. Again, their permits are only valid during the day, providing more space for our residents in the evening. We rarely receive trespassers, and if we do, we ask them to leave immediately and escort them off the property. If you see any suspicious activity or trespassers, we ask that you notify our leasing team right away so that we can address the situation. Our team is diligent in answering all phone calls and returning all messages. We’d be grateful for the opportunity to speak to you over the phone to hear more about your experience and address any issues you may have. Please call us at 714-640-6625 at your earliest convenience. Thank you.
