Did not meet my expectations. My apartment wasn't move-in ready. The floors were unkempt, my toilet rocked, spider webs with spiders in them, my window wasn't sealed all the way so bugs got into my apartment (they fixed that), paint was chipped, etc.... The 1 bedroom 1 bath is more so like a studio (you have no door to your bedroom). The drama there was ridiculous.... It was a light skin black guy there with a ponytail.... pretty sure he might've been like a pedophile and he harassed my mother... when she came to visit. He's just creepy. The kids can be loud but not too bad. I had a upstairs neighbor who was inconsiderate and made so much noise upstairs my glasses literally shook. HOWEVER, Gracia was an amazing on-site manager and made my move-in and move-out as easy as possible. I got majority of my deposit back which was lovely, Maintenance was amazing, they came and fixed everything in a timely manner and the pool was always clean. Laundry was so-so but not horrible... The should really put the card reloader for laundry outside of the rental office or in the main laundry facility so you can reload it whenever... The gym was "meh". Overall it was a decent stay....

Don't be fooled
Lived here for three years and disliked it the first week in. Moved out as soon as my credit rating and salary rose. What can I say....roaches, assaults, law enforcement, noise, laundry machines broken months on end, and shoddy remodeling. If you have a decent credit rating move elsewhere.

Great Apartment/Town-Home Complex from a 10 year Renter
Lived here for over 14 years and haven't moved because we like it so much. Great place to raise a family.
I couldn't think of any better apartment & town-home complex to stay in within the area. Located In beautiful Spring Valley, CA, between a high school and elementary school, next door to a US post office and an overall beautiful neighborhood. It's also located less than a block away from the San Miguel Fire Station - they arrived in less than 90 seconds for my 911 calls for elderly and... disabled family members throughout the years. A great private medical facility is also less than a block away as well. You would expect it to be noisy, but it's a very Quiet complex with a quiet neighborhood where crime is not a concern. There are many Great places to take morning or night walks, and 2 parks are within walking distance. The high school, Monte Vista High, allows neighborhood members to use their track also.
Complex Pool is beautiful, 3 laundry room facilities in the complex (7 washing machines and dryers across 3 clean facilities throughout the complex), and a large playground for children is located within the complex. Animals are welcome, yet there aren't many throughout the complex. Air-conditioning is only in living room. They are CONTINUALLY UPDATING & RENOVATING. New carpeting. Maintenance people have always been great and helpful.
Complex is under new management. Rent is not the cheapest, but the location and complex are worth it. For high school sports fans, At nights during football season, if you open your doors you can hear the Monte Vista football home games and on occasional weekends, there are little league games behind the complex. None of the the noise is bothersome at all. Each renter receives one gated parking space inside with clicker, and there is room for a second car in first-come-first-serve open spots.
Definitely one of the best apartment/town-home complexes I've ever lived in. Would recommend this location to anyone.
