STAY AWAY

no heat when I moved in, that wasn't fixed for 5 days. Even then it wasn't actually fixed, they rigged it to just maintain 75+ degrees at all times, day and night. I had to open windows and the sliding door to regulate the temperature because it got really warm in the day. There is dog poop and trash EVERYWHERE on the property. Several of the residents are disruptive, rude and violent. All of the dumpsters are completely surrounded by discarded mattresses, furniture, car parts and trash that is... not picked up by the trucks. The one laundry facility right near my unit was basically condemned and inaccessible, and the other is supposed to be secure, but the lock is broken, it is filthy and have been told by other residents that it is frequently inhabited by homeless people. The gym is closed because the 'are getting new equipment' but I hear it is basically never open. It was winter time, but I also heard that the pool regularly doesn't open in the summer. There are at least 4 unites that I counted that are boarded up. There is discarded furniture in the common areas between units. There is ZERO maintenance of the grounds; my stairs were iced over for days until it eventually melted and all of the walkways that don't get 100% sun throughout the day were covered in snow and iced over, making it a hazard to walk on. The parking lots also ice over. I have heard horror stories of fights in the parking lot, stalkers and creeps following women and children. There was a double homicide in a unit right near mine. People without hot water for several days. Maintenance requests go days with absolutely no response. I submitted maintenance requests for a couple things within 24 hours of moving in (as required), all of them were ignored. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of the property management. I emailed on more than one occasion, with no response. One phone number I did get through to said I would get a call back...and didn't. I was here less than one week and submitted to terminate my lease. I did not hear from ANYONE before leaving. The office ladies are nice, but are also pretty clueless as to how to contact CMS. The office on Tejon? They don't actually exist there, I went and it's a receiving company. The good reviews on CMS? Pretty sure they are biased or bought. Look up the google reviews for literally all 13 of the CMS properties. Nothing above 2* and not a single review above 1* in the past 12 months.
