Not Fun
This could be a great place but they just make everything difficult. We moved out at the end of our lease because they treated us, as renters, not very professional.

Endless problems since re-signing our lease.
The biggest issue here is parking. People who pay for a "guaranteed" open parking spot end up having to park illegally and risk getting their car towed, while management refuses to tell Wyatt's to tow instead of issuing empty threats of towing. This has been brought up to management repeatedly by me, my husband, and other residents. Every time my husband and I complain, management responds by telling us, "you know, you could buy a parking garage".... The bottom line is that instead of fixing the problem, management's "help" is to suggest that we pay an extra $100/month, on top of already high rent, to solve a problem we had no part in causing. Feels like extortion to me - we did not cause this problem but are pressured to pay $100 a month to fix it - but perhaps that is why Solana does not bother to enforce, if it pressures people into increasing their profit margins.
A "luxury" complex should not be nickel-and diming for poor quality services.
Other examples:
-Poorly run, expensive valet trash company appears to have no regard for recycling, which is very disappointing as living in a place that at least tries to minimize the impact on the environment is important to us - had we known this Solana does not recycle we would have thought twice about living here. I sent an email asking for clarification on recycling procedures and have heard nothing back
-You have to pay for mail delivery to a mess of a mail room
-You have to pay $3.50 just to receive your bills (?!)
-The parking as addressed in detail above: $60/car to park half a mile away if you return after 9p
-For a place that caters to an ourdoorsy community, they only have four bike racks which are uncovered, so people have to fight to park bikes that take damage from the elements
-Management tried to charge us to re-key the apartment despite there being an administrative safety issue that they did not handle well.
This place appears to be going steadily downhill with management's policy of nickel-and-diming for everything, while delivering poor quality end results. For the amount of money charged in rent, the customer service and amenities should be better and we should not be dealing with parking the car across the street and hiking home at 1a.

Current resident of over 16 months. Office staff either ignores you or lies to your face. Beyond the usual nickle-and-dime, they continuously slip fraudulent charges into your rent and hope no-one notices. And with the rest of the mounting charges, it's easy to lose track:
$120 per car for uncovered parking, with NO assurance on parking availability. The office refuses to tow illegally parked cars, so if you aren't home by 8pm the guy triple-parking his boat gets your spaces. There are... routinely 10+ cars parked in the side street the property doesn't own, which may be towed at a moment's notice.
$125 a month per car for a garage to actually be able to park on premises, though you'll find yourself continually coming home to an open garage door for some reason.
While Bicycle parking is free, there are exactly FOUR spaces you are allowed to lock your bike, which is laughable. Lock it anywhere else (including your OWN balcony) and it's an endless stream of threats and fines, and they refuse to install any additional bike racks. Hoping that residents only have 8 bikes between all of them is ludicrous.
$35 a month for 'valet' trash you get to sit in the hallway with everyone else, stinking up the entire single hallway building. The valet service comes late if at all, may leave your trash sitting for any number of minor reasons, and throws your clearly-marked recycling into the garbage.
Buildings are unlocked, 24/7 open-access to the public. the only thing your key fob opens is the pool area and the shared mail room.
$10 to receive mail in a locker, but the mail service still dumps it on the floor 50% of the time, requiring that you continually sift through an entire mail-rooms worth of stuff and causing you to lose packages from theft. Even the Amazon drivers I've spoken with trying to navigate the mess say it's a nightmare.
For over a year the Rent bill arrived a week AFTER rent was due, and had numerous errors that we had to spend our own time fixing and going over with the leasing office. But if you underpay by even $7 for a fraudulent insurance charge they tacked on (even though you HAVE renter's insurance), you get a $75 non-refundable late fee. There is simply no good faith from the office on any issues, and due to this they have a constant stream of negative tenants all too happy to discuss their issues at the drop of a hat.

Dog park a mess. Office staff uncooperative. Packages returned or stolen if you don't pay extra for a locker. A charge to pay online but no other option. Doors aren't fitted correctly so you can hear the myriad of children running and screaming in the halls and pounding up and down the stairs. Don't even ask about the "valet" trash service that leaves bags of garbage in the halls for days but somehow still is an unavoidable charge of $25 a month. $300 a year to smell your neighbors rotting... chicken bones for 3 days.
Do yourself a favor and look beyond the pool and gym.

They nickle and dime you to death. $25 a month for valet trash that shows up once or twice a week. $120 to park a car in unreserved parking. $10 to not get your packages stolen. Rude office staff.
