Bridge Street Commons is a brand new apartment building located in the central part of Shelton. It was built in August of 2017 & is surrounded by restaurants, grocery stores, hair salons, barber shops & convenience stores.
I found BSC on this website while searching for a place to call home while I complete my Doctorate at a nearby University. I toured all of the nearby apartments, including Avalon Shelton right next door, & nothing felt like a place to call home. Prices of the nearby... apartments just didn't match the apartment itself.
Once I toured the BSC apartments, I was amazed by how much effort was put into the layouts & the quality of materials used in each apartment. Stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, soft-close cabinets, ceramic countertops on bathroom sinks & full hardwood floors. What drove me to make the final decision of signing the lease & moving into my apartment was the reasonable monthly rent.
Not only did the price, apartment quality & location make me choose this building, but so did the staff. Rachel, the building manager, is amazing to do business with. She is extremely knowledgeable of all that has to do with BSC & does much more than her job entails. You often see the owner of the building on a daily basis. He will know you by name before you even introduce yourself. He is very hands on & cares about his tenants & his amazing building.
During my stay here at BSC, I lived on the top floor with my girlfriend & dog. We never had any problems with our apartment in terms of repairs/maintenance & we were allowed to paint the walls a color that we loved. The walls & floors/ceilings are sound-proof, which is something you don't see in almost any apartments nearby. It seemed as though no one else lived in the building besides us, even though it was completely occupied (not 1 apartment was empty during our stay & for good reason).
We signed a 1-year lease & planned on staying for longer but, due to the passing of a family member, we had to leave earlier than our lease ended. At any other apartment, leaving before your lease is up is a headache. However, at BSC, this is not the case. Rachel & the owner worked together to make the situation suitable for us. We came to a more than accommodating agreement & were able to leave within a months notice.
If you have the pleasure of touring this building (its usually always full), make sure you take advantage of it ASAP. You will NOT regret your decision.
