However, as with all homes, sound will still travel so this should be viewed as sound attenuation which helps the problem but does not eliminate it.
• 3/8” of acoustical rubber underlayment
• Two more layers of 7/16” wood subfloor screwed together to properly compress the viscoelastic compound in between that has sound dissipating capability
• The drywall ceiling is hung on whisper clips 7/8” hat channel
• Double 5/8” drywall with viscoelastic compound in between on both side of the demising walls staggered stud detail
• The ceiling is 5/8” one hour fire rated drywall that is decoupled from the open web trusses to help mitigate impact insulation class sound waves. The drywall is screwed into a hat channel that is attached to a clip and the whisper clip screwed into the open web trusses.
Internal & External Structures and Systems/Foundation
• The central heating and cooling system is made by LG and is a minisplit ducted three zone system. Accordingly 3 thermostats help control temperatures through ensuring better balance and delivery of temperature preference.
