I am deeply disappointed with the management at our apartment complex. On my son's birthday, he was not allowed to enter the swimming pool because he accidentally forgot his entry card in his father's car. Despite knowing us well and that we have been residents for three years, the community manager demanded fifty dollars or the card itself, causing my son to cry on his special day. While rules are important, following your heart and showing humanity is essential for truly successful management.... This experience has left us very disheartened.

I live here from 3 years and finally i will leave this community soon, I don't recommend this community for anyone unless they change the manager there they don't know anything about loyalty and customer service they need training to be qualified to this job. Good luck everyone to find better community.

I have lived at The Shore for over a year now and love it! The management team is very responsive to any concerns I have and maintenance is always on top of my needs.

I’ve lived at the Luxory Shore for almost 2 years. There are several issues I’ve had but because I’m a local reporter - I like to keep a low profile as much as possible but … it’s time.

I moved to Lakeland from California so I was not able to see the apartment before I moved which was ok. I’ve done this many times before but what was not ok is that I wasn’t told that after I paid the application fee, if immediately have to put down a deposit or I’d loose the previous fee.

When I explained to... management that I was unaware - she said, & I quote “It is what it is.” Because of the position I was in, I needed to continue moving forward and did.

You’re asked to pay an additional $30 + dollar fee to have your dog DNA swapped so if you pup poops on the property, they test the poop & you get charged. I actually liked the concept because no one wants to live in a community w/ dog poop everywhere. However, that’s still very much the case. My apartment building is constantly surrounded with dog poop & no accountability for who’s to keep this area looking as it should.

Now, what brings me to this post today. Late last night, I locked my car & house keys in the car.

I have an extra key to my house & car inside of my apartment. So, I called the apartments after-hour line to let me in because the locksmith to open my car was going to take 4.5 hours.

There is a $75 dollar fee to have after-hours come out, which I was already aware of. But, I’d need to get in my house, then go grab that cash because again “I’m locked out of my car & house” at the moment.

The maintenance man advised me that I needed to have cash on hand but called management to explain the situation, asking if he could let me in the house and I immediately go grab money.

Management said no. If I didn’t have cash on hand, they wouldn’t ups not assist.

So, I was stuck outside (in the rain) for 4 hours, waiting on a locksmith.

This is not a community. This is more like a pretty resting spot until you find your real community and I say that boldly.

As a reporter, my entire job is based on creating community within my county by advocating for people. So, when I run across people that don’t have that same policy in mind - it’s easy to identify.

Luxory Shore, I deserved waaaaay better then what I experienced last night and if the owner switches management, eventually - he needs to select a group that represents the county that their working in accurately.

The property is beautiful but poorly kept. The management team is organized and thorough getting you moved in but then lacks respect, professionalism and over all communication with residents. They do noting to build community! So much turnover in a year with leasing agents. Vandalizing vehicles and bugging other residents are a few of the things I have seen happen near my building. When you call with a concern it is brushed off and not taken care of. Nothing that the lease leaves expectation... for is upheld on the properties end. Very unsecure.. the gates and almost all entries are opened at all times. You can hear almost everything your neighbors are watching on TV because the walls are so thin. Being a BRAND NEW property we did not expect to have so many things broken so quickly. Lights falling out of the ceiling and the mirror in the bathroom does not function properly. Moving in a space on the wall is completely crooked. The bugs are ridiculous, i work from home and have only seen them twice...in a year and they only spray the bottom of the building. the wasps at the pool make me not even want to go.
