DO NOT MOVE HERE

This is an update on the roaches and more. Unit 9-107
I have been living in pest control poison for SEVEN MONTHS.
Management is failing to get rid of the roaches. They crawl all over the apartment, between clothes and on the bed.
My apartment is super clean, I close all the drains and my food is in sealed containers. I requested documents or fact sheets of the poison they use but never got anything.
The pile of trash in front of the always locked dumpster is often as tall as 6ft and feeds 8...
racoons. The racoons go to the pool area and empty out the trash cans.
I turned down an offer to change apartments because there were roaches as well. Several times when the cops showed up at night it got very loud and it makes me feel unsafe.

I cannot live under such circumstances anymore so I kindly asked to get out of the lease agreement. Of course they declined that.
Friends told me to reach out to the Health Department which I will do some research on now.

10 WEEKS OF ROACHES

I moved in January 10th this year. The moment I got my keys and walked in the apartment I saw roaches. I immediately told the ladies in the lease office to take care of this and call pest control while I would go back to a hotel for a couple of days. Since I did not get a reaction on the fact that I had expenses I deducted the hotel bill from the monthly rent. They complained about that by sending me an email telling me that I have to pay it in full.
However, ever since I moved in I had roaches...
in my entire apartment. They are in every room, kitchen, living, dining, bathroom, closet, bedroom.
Every week I called and/or emailed the lease office to get rid of this disgusting issue and all I got to hear is:
- Pest control will take care of it on Friday
- They are coming from the neighbors
- The neighbors do not report them so pest control doesn't go there
- and so on

Meanwhile after ten weeks of living with roaches I found out that other buildings in this apartment complex are affected as well.
I don't know if it has something to do with the landfill across the street or what it can be but I am sick and tired of this.

There has been no word whatsoever to compensate or let me out of the lease agreement.

Don't do it! TRUST ME!!!

Look the other way. This place sucks.

1. This gate hasn't worked since I moved in. Over 2 years to be exact. Not understanding why they consider this a gated community. False advertising. MULTIPLE cars have been stolen/ burglarized including 2 of my neighbors. If the gates don't work why not hire security to patrol the complex?

2. OUTRAGEOUS prices !!!! Little to no Amenities.

3. Parking sucks! After 6pm you can forget about finding parking.

4. Dog poop EVERYWHERE !! No one cleans up after...
their pets, despite waste bags/cans on almost EVERY corner. Not to mention I'm almost certain majority of the pets are not registered I've seen Pitbulls and other aggressive dog breeds that are "not allowed". Dogs bark ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT!!!!!

5. Hallways and staircases are ALWAYS FILTHY! Trash other debris and unknown liquids are always there.

6. The ONLY thing this community cares about is the landscaping and the actual aesthetics of the property.

7. Maintenance is great. The guys are very helpful and kind.

8. Front office never answers the phone. The only way to get things done is to go in the leasing office and make a big scene in front of potential renters!

9. MARIJUANA SMOKE IS THE NEW FRAGRENCE OF THE COMMUNITY.

I should've followed my first mind and rented with luma! So many different local NEW properties to look at! DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!

DO NOT COME HERE

DO NOT COME HERE!!!
So many things wrong with this place.
For the amount of money they charged You better look somewhere else that is safer…. We have been living here for a couple of months and cant wait for lease to be over…. Maintenance issues never stop

1) NO security At all, waiting since day one for them to fixed my balcony door and nothing has been done.

2)Gate at the front is always open. Anybody can walk in and out no questions asked. They been trying to fix it but is taking them for...
ever to get it done…. And even if they fixed the gate is useless because anybody who want to come in can do it through the side which is not gated… so gate or not their system is useless and for the amount of money they charge you will expect at least to feel safe in your own home.

3) since there is no security at the front ANYBODY can come in and use the pool that WE residents pay maintenance fee every month. Just this weekend we saw a very large group coming in to the pool and we know for sure that they didnt belong there because my husband questioned them and it was clear to us that they didn’t live here. Also the gate to get in the pool doesn’t lock anymore in both sides, another reason why ANYBODY can just walk in and do as they please

4) parking is a joke and not available near your unit and is probably due to some people parking here from outside since gates is open 24/7 and no security guard so the place is over pack

5) two small playgrounds, in one of them they have only two swings and they are very old and rusty.
The other playground have only two small slides and the gate is missing one rail which make it easy for kids to get out and walk into the streets, which by the way are very dangerous because some residents drive like crazy without a care in the world.

This place has potential to be a great community but either they don’t care or don't want to invest money in it.

Only good experience fo far is the customer service from some of the maintenance guys that try to help and jade who is really kind and try to help as well and have never giving me attitude even when sometimes i seem upset because of the lack off urgency on repairing any of my issues.

Gates still not fixed
People are making race and donuts in front of the community. Smh
How are we supposed to walk with our kids peacefully when your feel for your kids life…
This is the worst place ever nobody do anything about it. And complains fall on death ears.

I almost hate it here

don't usually do reviews but at this point i have to. I dont want to say i hate it here but im honestly getting close to it... worst place me and my husband have ever spent our money on.. and we only been here going on 3 months... management/customer service is terrible.. move in day our unit was terrible roaches everywhere, rusted refrigerator & microwave, hanging wall sockets mold and algae in windows and it smelt like nothing but smoke.. how do u give keys to someone with a unit like this i... have no idea but still till this day im just tryna see who approved this walk through and said everything was good!?! The gate looks like its been broke for a while so i asked about it and the leasing agent says "oh its like that because of covid 19 we dont want anyone pressing the key pad" i chuckled at my self because she straight lied to my face ,past reviews shows the gate has been broke over a year ??.. i must have stupid written across my forehead... there are many cars that sit and dont belong and taking up parking spots but they wont do anything about it.. neighbors being nasty and calling two trucks on my car thats in front of my door not blocking anyone. I have complained to much to this office for them to look at me stupid and not do anything and say what they CANT do.. its to much money being spent on these "Luxury Apartments " for a gate to be broke and to be treated like this...
we are at the point that we are ready to move out we are FED up and im tired of complaining... this is the worse complex i have ever stayed in..
U almost get jealous of the new apartments across the street who gates WORK and everything is so neatly MAINTAINED! Still till this day we dial corporate number and womt stop until we are in contact.
HORIZON AT MIRAMAR needs to do better..
