This is my 2nd year living at the Sound @ Navarre and I must say this is one of the best apartments I have lived in since I moved off base. My neighbors are very kind. I sometimes hear thumping from my upstairs neighbor but I’ve dealt with that with every apartment that I’ve lived in. both Ashley’s and the leasing agent at the office are always welcoming and are very informative. My ac went out at 10pm and one of the older maintenance guys came out to fix it almost immediately. Before the office... closed from Covid, I’d take my dog up there for his daily treat and lovings, it became a routine. I have recommended this apartment complex to my military friends and hope to see the reopening of the office soon!

The sound is a perfect name for the property, because “the sound” upstairs is ridiculous. I’ve lived in apartments my entire life and I have always had upstairs neighbors so hearing someone walk even with heavy feet is nothing new but the kids upstairs are rolling blading & running & body slamming each other. I had made several complaints however it continues. I attempted to reach out to the curtesy officer who couldn’t be bothered, because it was before 10pm, to just kindly talk to them to avoid... any confrontation with the resident. I then had to take it upon myself to speak with the resident once and it only made the situation worse because now the mom and her kids do it purposefully. I have multiple videos of my light fixtures shaking. I sent a couple of these video to management and was given a formal yet unprofessional email basically blaming me and making me out to be the bad guy when all I want is to simply not have a WWE match above my apartment while my infant is sleeping. On top of this situation, we are constantly having to have pest control come out because the building is full of water roaches. After multiple sprays, new weather stripping, constant cleaning, closing drains, etc we are disgusted with this experience as we have never encountered bugs on this level before. When we first moved in we were told we had new carpet yet the carpet was full of dog food and glass. The maintenance guys quickly came to check out the carpet so I commend them for their quick response but even after they vacuumed we were still find glass throughout the apartment. Come to find out, someone broke one of the glass shelves in the fridge so that’s where the glass came from and we were missing a shelf in our fridge. For an apartment that had a walk through prior to us moving in, these are major things that should have been caught. The apartment itself has decent fixtures, however I advise that you do pay attention to the layout closely as we didn’t and now we’re stuck with a tiny closet in the room used by my husband and using the coat closet as my closet and having no outside storage. We also have to awkwardly use one of the cabinets as our pantry...it’s just weird that we needed to pay attention to that but best believe we have learned our lesson to make sure we have simple things like storage space and a pantry. As a military family moving from another state, this gave a sour taste in our mouth about moving here.

We lived at The Sound for 1 year and we were very happy with the place! It is clean, well maintained and the 24hr maintenance came in handy a couple nights. We were able to live there happily without being bother constantly. As long as you pay rent and abide by their rules you will have a happy time. The only reason we moved was because we were ready for a house for a family. Overall a good place to live with helpful staff like Alicia! We were very pleased with her assistance and professionalism... .

I am a current resident and I've been here since Feb 2018. I moved here from VA, and the staff here made my 14 hour drive worth it. Ever since I have been here they have quickly taken care of any administrative or mechanical issues I have had within 24 hours or less. They have always been friendly and pleasant to work with. I haven't participated much in the community events they host, but they have food trucks that stop by here that are really good. As a teleworker, I require peace and... quiet and I have received plenty of that here. I would recommend for anyone who is looking for affordable luxury living.
