A word of caution on unit 1901 from a 5 year resident.
Before you rent apartment 1901 at the Park at Mount Zion, you should be aware that this apartment has severe recurrent plumbing issues. Unit 1901 and the unit directly behind it have a tendency to flood along the floor. For 1901 in particular, most often water will ooze into the unit from underneath the tall cabinet to the left of the stove in the kitchen. This same issue also occurs in the guest bathroom, with water oozing into the area from underneath the bathtub. Additionally, water enters... unit 1901 from the apartment directly above it. When the residents of this unit shower, water will enter 1901’s master bathroom from the region directly above the vent on the far wall to the left of the toilet. Water also occasionally enters the master bathroom from directly behind the paint on the drywall leaving unsightly bubbles on the wall once the leaking subsides. You should also be aware that the apartment directly above unit 1901 has had a botched water heater installation which has caused two massive floods. These chronic floods have led to unit 1901 having noticeable water damage and mold along the base boards, walls, and ceiling of the kitchen, guest bathroom, guest bedroom, master bathroom and maintenance closet. In addition to floods other issues regarding unit 1901 include the following: 1. The largest burner of the stove is malfunctioning. 2. The water in the tub of the guest bathroom backs up. 3. The bottom of the front door is improperly sealed which leads to wasps and other pests entering from the outside. 4. There is a hole cut into the wall behind the washing machine by plumbers which was never sealed. 5. The sink in the master bathroom tends to get backed up frequently. 6. The handle on the kitchen sink is loose and water leaks from it when running water. 7. Water tends to back up in the right division of the kitchen sink. 8. There’s an electrical socket in the dining room which is dangerously loose. 9. The water heater has a tendency to malfunction which has led to a loss of hot water and higher water bills. 10. The tub in the master bedroom was improperly resurfaced and is rough and bumpy. 11. The toilet in the master bathroom refills every 10 minutes. For the sake of your financial and physical health, think very carefully about renting unit 1901. There are better options available.

Credit matters but they don't tell you up front
They don't mention that credit is also a factor until after they have taken your $200 that will takes weeks or longer to get back.

Choose as your last resort
I lived at this apartment for several years, each year the rent goes up and the care to the tenants has gone down. There has been a few times that both of my toilets were stopped up for 2 to 4 days before someone even came to look at it. I have called the office during business hour and it went straight to voicemail. I walked in the office while calling them and they had the office phone on silent. Even when you fill out electronic maintenance request, 90% of the time you will have to go in the... office and they seem to know nothing about it. Calling the maintenance emergency line is a joke, you will not get a acknowledgement that you even called or issue is not fixed until you go in the office and complain. If you have an issue on Friday after business hours, plan to have that issue the whole weekend even if you have sent a electronic and telephone request. When you do go and inquire or complain about issues that are not handled correctly, you get no apology, just a blank stare as if you are an inconvenience. But when they are about to be audited they will send you a threat of eviction notice if you do not come sign paperwork that you already filled out years ago and they misplaced or lost.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!
I've lived here a couple of years now and the apartments are terrible! I do not recommend anyone living here. I've been having the same maintenance issues since move in and have contacted the office multiple times but they don't care about the tenants. No one has came to fix my tub that has been clogged since move in. The water takes hours to drain, the paint is peeling, and when the tub does drain nasty dirt and gunk comes out the drain and sits in the tub. And lastly ROACHES!

Keep Scrolling….I wish someone told me
Run!!! Run anywhere but here. Take my word for it or face the consequences. Spend that extra $200 or whatever for your comfort unless you enjoy living like an animal. No sleep because of noise, too embarrassed to invite people over. Right now I’m typing this and all I can hear is kids screaming outside…it is 9:39pm. If you’re an insect person it will be great for you, plenty of ROACHES to go around, air vents are all connected so if you enjoy second hand smoking here is great for you.
Trash... everywhere, on the stairs, parking lot and walkway by your neighbors. They put it right at your door too.
As I said, Run like hell. Do not claim this negative energy.
