BIGGEST inconvenience living here

PLEASE READ! This can be you if you move into this apartment!
I've been a resident of this apartment for nearly three years, and unfortunately, my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. It all began in January 2024 when I discovered a leak in the bathroom of my bedroom. What followed was a saga of inconvenience, incompetence, and disregard for tenant well-being that has soured my perception of this place.

Upon reporting the leak, it took the maintenance team about a...
week to even show up for an inspection. In the meantime, I had to endure the discomfort of having random individuals entering and exiting my room at ungodly hours to address the issue. This invasion of privacy was unsettling, to say the least.

After what felt like an eternity, the leasing office manager finally arranged for a company to fix the leak. However, their arrival was poorly communicated, with only a day's notice given to me and my roommates. To add insult to injury, when the workers arrived, I was informed that due to the use of chemicals, we needed to evacuate our unit. This left us scrambling for accommodation, as the offered alternative--a single bedroom for multiple roommates--was entirely impractical and unacceptable.

Upon returning to our unit after the work was supposedly completed, the situation only worsened. The stench of chemicals permeated the air, and I was greeted with a sight of holes in the walls and ceilings, along with dirt strewn across the floor. It was evident that little care had been taken to ensure the restoration of our living space.

In my attempts to seek recourse, I approached the leasing office hoping for some form of compensation or acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused. However, my grievances were met with dismissive responses, with management (SARAH) brazenly denying any responsibility and attributing the issues to the "building settling in."

This entire ordeal has left me feeling not only angry but also deeply disillusioned with the management's attitude towards tenant welfare. To be subjected to such disregard after years of residency is disheartening, to say the least. As such, I cannot in good conscience recommend this apartment to anyone seeking a stress-free living experience.

Customer non existent

Have had enough customer service doesn't exist here put in work orders on move in day AUG some items still have not been tended to and some were half done, blinds missing in living room they brought some over a month later which are shorter than the rest!!!! The heating and air vent had never been cleaned from the previous year still not cleaned, 2 bar stools have broken welds that as of early september were not fixed. The stool could break and collapse!!! You call and request a call back it... never happens!!! As of today Oct 19th internet service has been out in room over 9 days!!!! contacted the service provider and they gave me a work order and were supposed to work with sova to get it back up!!!! Tomorrow will be 7 days since I contacted WhiteSky contacted SOVA yesterday Oct 18 around noon had to leave a message cause no one with authority ever answers the phone or remedies problems. Now SOVA and WhiteSky are supposed to work together to restore service!!! How long will this take.

Way too much money for what you’re getting

Insane costs for a student living complex. Not enough parking for everyone who lives here. And trash everywhere. Not to mention that the amenities aren’t kept up. Printer doesn’t work, coffee machine and syrups aren’t there or working, and poop everywhere. It is very convenient to live and I will say it is better than most of the other apartments around the area, but it still costs too much.

Good with issues

The apartments and amenities are actually really nice. It’s really expensive, considering they charge per room. The parking garage can be hell. It’s better than any other most housing around KSU, though.

Okay Apartment with some issues.

The apartment complex is very loud at night regardless of if it’s finals week or halfway through the semester. A lot of times I would call the security team and they would quiet it down, but at least twice I called the security team and all they did was knock on the door, didn’t receive an answer, and they walked away and called me back to inform me that they didn’t answer and couldn’t do anything else. I also had one of the security members go to a very loud room where he entered the apartment... and continued to party with them rather than having them turn down the volume. The parking garage is a mess and the gate is never operational. Other than that, the apartment and ammenities themselves are excellent. The gym, pool, and study rooms have proved very useful to me and I have used each a multitude of times. The rooms can be a little cramped if you are in a smaller unit, but in my 4x4, I have plenty of room to share with my roommates. Also, the maintence team is very efficient at getting requests accomplished if they are not in the middle of any inspections or it’s not the beginning of the lease, if you have any problems during that time, it will mostly likely take 1-2 weeks to have your issue fixed (including air conditioning problems).
