I have lived on this property now for over a year and never had an issue the property is always clean and I always feel safe. I am a single young lady and the other day I had to stop in the office to handle some work that I wanted to have done in my apartment . Nothing major my dish disposal was backing up from something I put down the sink (I can admit) two of the leasing consultants were on the property showing units and I spoke with Mrs. Samuels who immediately met me to help resolve the... issue she is the asst manager of the property and was clearly very busy and she took the time to stop and speak to me and to make sure my needs where met. She even inquired on how my day was going. I told her I was stepping out and wanted to see if they could send someone to fix it. She assured me it would be handled and I was probably gone 45 and in that time frame she had sent the maintenance man down to take care of it and he had been in and out and left the service repair order with a smiley face that said have a great day and it had been repaired! Thank you Mrs. Samuels Y'all are the best! Small things matter. I will be renewing my lease !

Maintenance
The maintenance guys are great they always available when needed. especially JT, he such an amazing, and professional person. you can call on him to fix anything and he will delivered.
great place overall.
the only downfall is the rent late fees cast. very high percentage.

Mold , mold, trifling neighbors, more mold
When I first moved here in 2018 I LOVED the community. It has slowly gone down hill over the last 4 years. The biggest issue is the MOLD infestation which no one has done anything about. Maintenance will clean it for you but it continues to grow back . It’s written in the lease that you acknowledge there is a mold issue and the property is not held responsible for issues it may cause. The price is way too high for this basic apartment. I work mainly out of town so at first it wasn’t bothersome,... now I hate it . Can’t wait to move. The overflowing trash in the front is an eyesore, the cabinetry is poorly done, neighbors throw Trash in common areas , dog poop in yard. It’s disgusting. Definitely was not like this when I moved here in 2018. I absolutely hate it. Don’t move here. As soon as my lease is up I’m gone!

Not worth the price.
As someone who has lived here for 3 years. The complex is not worth the price. The pool is almost ALWAYS closed. The gym is outdated with equipment that only sometimes works. The gate is almost always broken or open. On the plus side is that the maintenance men are nice and helpful and Xavier in the leasing office is always nice and helpful but other than that. Save your money for a place that actually has their amenities functional.

Disappointing since it changed from First Communities to GREYSTAR
I have been a resident of this community since 2015. While living in an apartment community has it's set of challenges wherever you go, for the most part, my stay at Amber Chase was relatively satisfactory under First Communities. That is much more than I can say for current management and staff of GREYSTAR. Maintenance is a NIGHTMARE. I have submitted several maintenance requests. That is not an issue in itself. The issue is when the maintenance staff marks the work as done, but hasn't... performed the work. This is a constant occurrence. In addition, maintenance has entered the premises and looked at my oven while I was not home, and my minor children were there! Who does that???? Regular maintenance has occurred on my apartment with no previous communication that anyone would be entering my home. Dirty filters from the routine maintenance that was performed was left on the side of my apartment for days and not removed until 4 days after contacting the main office. The trash dumpster is constantly overflowing, begging for arranged pickup to be twice a week. In addition the staff is unresponsive at best. Upon their initial takeover, the phones automatically forwarded to voicemail during working hours and stated that you contacted them outside of working hours. To fix it, I had to contact the corporate office. I also had to contact the corporate office to get a smoke detector fixed....REALLY?! Now if my family of 5, including 3 children would have burned in a fire, then what???? It takes an act of Congress to invoke a sense of urgency in the staff. These folks really should not be in the customer service business. I hate to leave a community such a bad rating, as much of my stay was enjoyable, but GREYSTAR, renters have choices, and I would never again choose, or recommend your properties. Thank GOD I am buying a home! GREYSTAR...DO BETTER!
