Do NOT move here

At first they pull you in with the pool and pet friendly and the low 300 deposit (which you don't get back btw, even if you leave the apartment in a better state then you got it), then when you live here for a while like I did, you will start to notice the problems. There is flooding every spring, they even went as far as removing the carpet in the first floor apartments to avoid hard clean up from the floods. Then there are certain buildings(some do, some do not) that have bed bugs and... roaches. There is the fact that your maintenance does not ever get anything done without months of fighting them to fix things such as furnaces, mold and mildew from leaks in the wall, windows falling out and leaking, ice forming inside of your apartment on the windows and walls, roof leaks, ect.(, the list goes on and on. Then there is the problems with the management and maintenance people who are constantly changing thus causing none of your "important" paperwork getting done. For a whole year and 3 months I didn't even have a lease(without my knowledge because they just gave me a copy of the old lease if I would have payed attention to the date they could have easily asked me to move out or I could have left because the lease was not valid), even though I went in for the mandatory filing out of said paperwork(because they will ask you to move out if you don't come in and fill it out by the date they want it). Then there is the issue of crime. There has been several occurrences with drug arrest, gun arrests, car theft and domestic disputes. The pool that they offer as a perk is barley open. The three summers that I have experienced, most of the summer is closed down for one reason or another. The first year maybe three non consecutive weeks, the last two years the pool was maybe open a total of two non consecutive weeks. So that immidity to me is not worth it. Then they are always coming in to inspect. In one year they came into my apartment at least once a month for one inspection or another, but everything that is pointed out doesn't get done. They are constantly failing section 8 inspections, city and state inspections and they get fined. Every time they get fined they actually up the rent saying it is a cost of living adjustment according to HUD, which HUD only is supposed to do it once a year, dominion does it more than that. This is not a place you want to live.
