Mismanaged filthy

The initial move to the Assembly was pleasant, but it has since deteriorated significantly. There are cleanliness issues, like overflowing trash, unclean common areas, and a filthy roof with a strong smell of dog pee during warm months. They haven't fulfilled promises like installing shading on the roof and dealing with roach infestations on the roof, and some hallways. Bugs are everywhere due to the lack of preventative spraying. Basic common area amenities like coffee cups, hand soap, and... paper towels are often missing from the community room kitchen. Every apt floor smells bad, (they are carpet) add that there's no AC in common area apt floors making it smell especially worse during hot weather. Apartments leak, and AC frequently malfunctions. Loud parties and shared rooftop with other businesses add to the disturbance. Trash service doesn't cover the entire building, and the absence of a property manager without any notification or alternate contact raises concerns. It's better to use your own judgment when considering living here. Good luck!

Property Manager at The Assembly responded to this review

We are sad to see you hold such a low perception of our community at this time. The satisfaction of our residents is of utmost importance to our team, and we would like to help make your time here as positive as possible moving forward. Please reach... out to the leasing office with any concerns and we will be happy to address as quickly as possible. We haven't been made aware of many issues and would love the opportunity to remedy.

TWG Properties are the absolute worst

PROS:
- two elevators which are helpful
- beautiful views of downtown if you end up with an apartment facing the city
- workout room is better than most apartments downtown
- valet trash ($25/month)
- close to Fountain Square and a few good coffee shops
- mail is secure in a package room
- promotions like free rent or gift cards to entice you to actually want to live here
- Internet is slightly okay (AT&T)

CONS
- noise coming from the rooftop above is insanely LOUD especially after 10:00PM;...
people go up on the rooftop and act like it's a park in the city
- Trash rooms constantly have food thrown on the floor instead of being tossed into the garbage chute
- Walls are EXTREMELY thin and working from home has been a complete nightmare
- Parking isn't great for residents as it costs $85 / month to park in the garage and $65 to park in the main parking lot but the employee's entrance is convenient for them and your guests have to walk miles just to get inside the building
- The closer you live towards the train, the louder it is in your apartment
- Rent is beyond overpriced in general for what you're getting
- Some of the layouts for certain apartments are ridiculous as your kitchen cabinets could end up on someone's bedroom wall and vice versa; good luck dealing with a neighbor who decides to slam their cabinets loudly at from 5:00 - 7:00 AM and all throughout the day or while you're trying to sleep after 10:00 PM
- You're basically paying to be sleep deprived
- I've spoken with the property manager multiple times and each time the residents lied about slamming cabinets before 7:00am and after 10:30pm each night which has now resulted in the continuing slamming of things on my wall late at night without any repercussions
