A Rare Find
A Rare Find
Haverford Place is a hidden jewel surrounded by woods (plenty of sun, too??), with a relaxed, quiet, safe community atmosphere, so close to downtown Georgetown!
The staff are genuinely friendly, responsive and immediate with their attention and care, and are one of the main reasons I decided to rent here.
The townhouse itself is elegant, homey and very affordable. So nice not to have to provide my own washer and dryer, and there's valet garbage! Set it outside your door and... it gets picked up, five days a week! I'm extremely happy to live here and highly recommend it!"

Save yourself the hassle
My boyfriend and I lived here from May 2019 to August 2022. Truly, we had no major issues and were always satisfied with the service from the maintenance staff. They made that place what it was in my opinion. Working with the front staff was legit like pulling teeth. They rarely answered phone calls or emails unless you were terse with your tone. The reason we chose to move was due to a rent increase of $200. While it was a nice one-bedroom apartment, in no way shape or form was it worth... that drastic increase. Nothing was being added to justify this adjustment. The front office made it very difficult when it came to us moving out. This is where they lost my recommendation to anyone looking to move into this complex. First, we HAD to schedule a move out walk through. That was fine but it HAD to be on a certain day and at a certain time…zero wiggle room. While it was very inconvenient to meet their expectations, I made it work. I waited for 20 min past the appointment time, and they did not show up. I tried to call repeatedly to see if there was something I missed regarding our appointment and there was zero answer. When I finally got a hold of the staff that afternoon to turn in my keys, (if I kept them one more day, we’d be charged), they said ‘well, we can do a walkthrough now’. I was unable due to rearranging my schedule to fit theirs. What was the point of scheduling a walkthrough when they were just going to waste my time and do their own?? During their walk through, they found issues and then charged us for them. When I disputed these charges and said we never did a walkthrough, I was told that they would send along pictures of the ‘damages’…which of course never transpired. There was normal wear and tear on the apartment and we were charged for things I’ve never heard of being charged for in the past. Save your money, troubles and time and look elsewhere. Unless they replace the front staff, find other accommodation in Georgetown. Never again, Haverford/Village Green. Also, we were not informed upon move in that that valet trash fee was mandatory until it was too late to change our mind…we lived right by the dumpster and never used the service.
I'd give zero stars if I could for the office staff and 5 for maintenance.
