The office staff and maintenance are terrible. The office never answers their phone. I’ve been contacting them since the beginning of February about a leak in my kids upstairs bedroom. I’ve submitted 3 maintenance requests, called, and gone into the office personally multiple times. I was told multiple times that someone would be by to have a look at it and nobody’s ever came. The leak has been progressively getting worse and still nothing has been done. To top it off the roof in the office... building for the complex just caved in last week.
They don’t respond to any maintenance requests at all for that matter. The dishwasher has been broken since I moved in. I also had to hound them to get them to fix my ac which was broken prior to move in day and wasn’t actually fixed until the next week.
I moved in July 1st of 2022. I was never notified that our mail boxes were broken and that mail was being sent to the local post office. The post office then stopped accepting our mail and everything was being returned to sender. We just recently got new boxes and can have mail sent here after over 6 months of waiting.

: they have now refused/cant fix the mailboxes and usps WILL NOT deliver our mail. So we have to drive to the coursey branch and pick it up. And we were not notified of that I had to go on a freaking scavenger hunt for all the packages and mail I'm missing including 2300$ in medication that didn't get delivered and subsequently went bad. Still no maintenance/ no pest control/ no pool/

So I have been here 6 going on 7 months. But the dishwasher hasnt worked right since my second week. However... the entire place is under foreclosure, BR sheriff's department seized it. We don't know what that means for us tenants yet.

However I've had multiple items stolen off my doorstep and mailboxes are unkempt and damaged to the point the post carrier cannot put parcels in the lockers which allows them to be stolen as they just drop them off in the hallway. I've had a package stolen literally within 20 minutes of drop off

I pay for pest control but I have not once seen anyone come spray my apartment, so I've sprayed myself to keep bugs away. I've had an ongoing issue with drain flies(I go through a fly tape every 2 days and that's with keeping bleach in the kitchen and tubs) and the occasional roach. I've been told it's the pest control company's fault.

Most everyone is quiet, however my neighbor harassed me for months and nothing was done.
I've had no key to my backdoor since I moved in. The paint and ceiling texture is now falling off, their automated rent portal screwed up and now that we have been through 4 different managers the new one just tells me she can't help me right now but rest assured you won't be evicted. I would write out the whole story but at this point I am fed up with these people. Came here to take a tour back in September 2021, Paid $650 to hold a apartment, came in took a tour and the apartment was full of ROACHES, BLACK MOLD, AND HAD MAJOR FLOODING ISSUES. There were sandbags all over the complex and the the apartment was damp and smelled of mildew. Trash was everywhere, every dumpster was full and trash piled as tall as it next to them. I told the lady I was not going to rent there and... wanted my deposit back. She told me she would get with the manager and they would call me the next day to get my money back. I never recieved a call from this company I have to put it upon myself to call in and see what the status is of my situation. I called and they then told me that it would take 90 DAYS to get back my money! It has been 6 MONTHS and they have yet call or give me my money back! I called corporate (Audubon) in December 2021 and told them my situation and they told me my money hasn't even began the refund process yet and they will have someone call and get to the bottom of it. I have still received no phone call nor my money . You would think at least the corporate office would have the common decency to contact you but that's not the case here. So long story short everyone in this company will lie and ignore you so save yourself a headache. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY nor the property. This situation has caused me severe hardships, frustrations and pure disappointment. I will be seeking legal advice on how I can go about getting this situation handle. I've been living here for going on 2 years & i can count on my hand how many times pest control have came! maintenance never fixes anything but always marks as complete! the hallways are filthy & there's always new property mangers every few months! office never is available but is always ready for rent or to charge extra fees, there's only a 2 day late fee then a huge charge! just wouldn't recommend

If I can give more than 5 stars I would. I have found a place that I can call home. Belle of Baton Rouge is the best property in Baton Rouge. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They treat you like family and I love it. The customer service is remarkable. The staff really cares for the tenants. It is very quiet and peaceful. I have been enjoying my stay here and I would really recommend Belle of Baton Rouge to all.
