- it’s very safe; i love the covered parking and gated entry
- it’s in a great location, under 5 mins to the box, death valley, campus and tiger town!!

i love southgate ! it’s very close to everything including LSU , and the stadium . the pool is very nice and the apartment itself is just very nice ! very thankful to live here !!

Lived here for years and LOVED IT!
The staff are so customer service oriented. Any time I had a question or put in a service request they were so on top of it! My favorite things about my apartment were the big walk-in closet and how quiet it was. I shared a wall with the elevator, but thanks to the concrete walls (and floors) I never even heard it once. Felt like living in a quiet neighborhood, with the convenience of being right next to campus!

Garbage
Apartments are sturdy, but that’s about it. Horrible front desk staff. Claim things are “policy” then refuse to show you that policy. The internet doesn’t work most days, and there is no cellular service. Will take at least 2 months to have a work order request taken care of. Usually have to call them several times before someone comes out. There’s also a train that will go by your window a few times a night. The gate that allows you to park in the garage breaks a few times a month as well, so... you have to park at a different establishment and walk, hoping you don’t get towed.
Tried to increase our rent halfway through our lease just because. Don’t expect them to understand how a contract/lease works. The only people you can talk to are the front office staff and they’re useless. They will just tell you to call the corporate offices
