What a great deal for a couple or three people. Nice 3 bedroom unit in Large Victorian Mansion. For the past 14 years I have rented to 3 different groups who have all been couples. I much prefer a couple or just 2 people. The issue is the parking... . It is best that whomever rents this unit has only 2 cars.
The unit will be available for a July 1st move in date. I usually do not start advertising this early, but the current couple just finished their Medical Residence and told me this is the time of year that the Medical students get their Residence assignments and they would be looking now
This two floor 3 bedroom is like having your own house. This portion of the house was probably added for the servants… so there is nobody above you and nobody below you. It is like an attached house (see picture). You have your own basement with Washer & Dryer. The main section of the Mansion is a piece of history and was built and originally owned by Henry Gane, a prominent citizen in early Newton and the founder of Gane Brothers, a now 160 year old publishing supply company recently acquired by LBS:
“The lives of Henry Alfred Gane and Emily Sophia Gane for many years were a part of the social fabric of this community. Emily Sophia Gane was kindly disposed towards the needs of the community life. Henry Alfred Gane was a man of upright life, of strict sense of justice and of such proverbial honor as to win the unquestioning confidence of his fellow men. According to his obituary of 1897, he was an expert on the culture of chrysanthemums and developed many varieties. At his large and handsome estate in West Newton, he devoted much attention to landscape and hot-house gardening. His place was always open to the public”
The house is located 1/3 of a mile North of West Newton Center. Besides walking to local buses, you can easily walk to West Newton center and catch the commuter rail to downtown Boston.
Included in the incredible apartment, besides the 3 bedrooms, is an eat in modern kitchen, Dining Room, Living room, and 1 ½ bathrooms.
Utilities are not included and the heat is a new gas system. I require First and Last month before you move in.
