I am writing a review on my apartment at one Newport Avenue located in North Quincy, Mass. I have been in my apartment for over a year now. The apartment itself is beautiful and the location can not be more perfect right across from the MBTA station. The building is a great place to live. We have a new property manager Deanna. She has only been with us for a few months and she is great! She is always very professional and communicates very well with us tenants. She always goes that extra step to... make sure things are being done in a timely manner. She has been very helpful with answering all my questions. She is a wonderful property manager!!. I told her I hope she stays with us for ever :O)
I also want to say our Maintance man Jeffrey is exceptional. Always making sure the building is well kept. When ever there is a issue he is right on it.
I have to say we are very lucky to have Deanna & Jeffrey as our Property Manager and Maintance person they are exceptional!! They both are amazing!!

Be cautious! Money minded management
I am writing this review to warn anyone who is thinking of moving into this apartment complex. The management company is more concerned about money than anything else. We moved into this place about a year ago. Towards the end of the lease term, they sent out a notice for increasing the rent by ~30% for the next year which was outrageous. I politely approached the management after the notice, asking whether existing renters considered same as that of new renters. They replied in the affirmative... and were not willing to negotiate at all. The second thing that I want to bring to attention is that their online portal has discrepancy with the actual lease terms. Within 60 days of lease ending, their website doesn’t increase the lease by one year. The portal sets an end date based on the previous lease but in reality they would charge you assuming that you would stay another year. In the last few days, I have seen multiple families moving out of the building and their website is putting up “one month free” offers. If you do decide to move in, be very cautious regarding their money-driven policies.

Hi Sonu, thanks so much for writing. It gives us a chance to explain our leasing policy. As you noted, we have increased rents. They were raised in accordance with market rents in the area. The building was rented severely under market by the... previous management and we had to make an adjustment. Rents are non-negotiable. I'm sorry you think there are issues with our portal. It does work and we advise everyone to read the lease terms before signing. Every lease has an end date but you are required to give 60 days' written notice of intent on whether you are going to renew or non-renew. I hope this clarifies any misunderstandings.
