A happy ending!!!
After a long process of looking at different units, my boyfriend and I settled on a one bedroom renovated unit in the Rise building. This is our first apartment so we needed some guidance, and the staff was so helpful and answered all of our questions. They wanted it to be perfect too! We have been in our unit for a month now and absolutely love it. Amazing amenities and beautiful renovations!

UNSAFE AND HAZARDOUS LIVING CONDITIONS
Subcontractors entering unit WITH key and no knocking while I was sleeping. Unconscious man lying in parking lot overdosed. No security/mgmt present. Excessive pkg theft. Elevator down for months. Code identical for all bldgs giving access to public traffic. No enforcement of lease rules. Bainbridge has no landlord license. We lived in renovated unit with water views. 45% rent increase. DO NOT RENT HERE.

Do NOT move here
5/16/22 - DO NOT MOVE HERE OR PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION. MANAGEMENT IS UNREASONABLE, UNAPOLOGETIC, AND INCOMPETENT.
I moved here last year in June. The week I moved in it was bought by Bain Bridge. I've seen older reviews how previous management was not great, so I thought this new management would be an improvement.
I recently received a notice that my rent is increasing by $1,000 per month. They notified me 3 weeks prior to my lease end date. Despite the unbelievable rent increase, it was... a clear violation of my lease agreement. They should have provided at least 60 days prior notice of rent increase so that I could decide to stay or move out. I tried to settle this directly at the leasing office in a calm manner, but they were unwilling and non-negotiable on terms, and did not honor my lease. They wouldn't even give me 60 days buffer to find a new place without the new rent taken into effect. I feel sorry for the leasing rep at the front desk as she was going back and forth between the manager and myself to attempt to resolve it. The leasing manager didn't even come out to discuss with me. I sought advice from a few different attorneys and they strongly recommended to leave this apartment complex immediately given this company's unprofessional and illegal conduct. I strongly share their advice to anyone currently living here or thinking about living here.
Another example - A few months ago they lost my rent check and tried to charge me a late fee even though it was ME trying to follow up with them to see if they cashed my check yet. Several months later they found my check, tried to cash it, and it bounced because we voided it. They tried to charge us a late fee AGAIN even though the check's date was several months ago.
The only positive aspect of these apartments is the location. Other than that, it's not worth living here.

The complex is beautiful but Managment is horrible to work with. We’ve been without AC for 2 weeks in June.
