I had a great experience moving into The Lofts of Merchants Row. From the start, Alex, the leasing agent, was incredibly helpful throughout the approval process, making everything smooth and stress-free. Janeen, the property manager, has been so welcoming and friendly—she went out of her way to introduce me to other residents around my age, which really made me feel at home.
Matthew and Vernie from the maintenance department have been fantastic. They made sure my apartment was ready before... move-in, and anytime I’ve had an issue, they've been quick to respond and fix things without delay.
As for the property itself, it’s in a great location right on Woodward, so everything is super accessible. My apartment is beautiful with high ceilings and a modern feel, which I absolutely love. Overall, I’m very happy with my decision to move here!

After 9 years, it has gone from luxury to slum.
My experience at the Lofts of Merchants Row has been overwhelmingly disappointing. Where do I even begin?
Firstly, the elevators seem to have a mind of their own, and it's never in sync with the residents' needs. They are consistently out of service, leaving tenants to trek up numerous flights of stairs just to get home. For a modern building, this is simply unacceptable.
Secondly, the issue of drug use throughout the building is a serious concern. The management's lax approach to security and... oversight has allowed this problem to persist, making many residents feel unsafe and uncomfortable in their own homes.
Trash pickup is another sore point. It's shocking that a supposedly upscale establishment fails to organize regular weekend trash collections. The overflowing bins become a breeding ground for pests, creating a health hazard for everyone living here.
Speaking of management, their incompetence knows no bounds. They're slow to respond to complaints, if they bother to respond at all. Maintenance requests are often mishandled or completely forgotten, leaving residents to live with unresolved issues for weeks on end.
The repair personnel they send are no better. It seems they lack the skills or motivation to fix anything properly. Many residents resort to paying out of pocket for basic repairs just to get things done right.
Access control is another headache. The key fobs and security systems work sporadically at best, leaving our safety and privacy compromised. It's absurd to pay premium rent and yet have such unreliable security measures.
As for the windows, they are so grimy and poorly maintained that we can barely see through them. It's like living in a perpetual fog, which adds to the overall dismal atmosphere of this place.
In conclusion, the Lofts of Merchants Row have proven to be a regrettable choice. Between the constant elevator failures, rampant drug issues, inadequate trash pickup, incompetent management and maintenance, unreliable security, and filthy windows, it's abundantly clear that this place does not live up to its promises of luxury living. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a residence that values its tenants' comfort and safety.

Ive called and left several messages, and contacted throught this website.Wnet there during business hours, and nobody answered the phonebell. I can only imagine if i had a maintenance issue

Best Value for a Downtown Apartment you will Find!
I lived here for approximately 15 months and am now moving out and I absolutely loved it while I was here. While I will go into further detail below, overall, you can't find a better value for money than these apartments if you are looking to be in the heart of downtown.
Pros:
Location!
Within a ten minute walk there are dozens of bars and restaurants that are all fantastic and each provide their own unique vibe. If you like eating/going out a lot, this is definitely the place to be.... Additionally, for the sports fans, you're no more than a 10 minute walk from all the stadiums!
The Staff
I have yet to find an apartment with better staff than LOMR. Everyone is always so responsive and maintenance requests are almost always handled within the same day. Additionally, I had some circumstances around my work that required me to make multiple lease changes and Bre and Armand were always so helpful with that.
Space!
Have lofted cielings just makes everything feel so open! I absolutely loved it. While it could be a con for some people, having no windows in the bedroom was an absolute win for me
Cons:
Noise
If you are hyper sensitive to noise, I would find a different place. You are in the heart of downtown so especially on weekends, it can get loud and there's not a lot of noise isolation from the street. For me this was part of the allure but it's not for everyone
Washer/Dryer
Unfortunately in a lot of the units they use combined washer dryers. I found these to be harsher on my clothing and to take 2-3 times as long at a minimum. That being said, they do have full size units in the basement but you do have to pay for those.
Electricity Bill
With being ceilings comes lots of extra heating costs in the winter. Be prepared for electricity bills around the 150 - 160 mark for a 800 square foot 1 bedroom.
Summary: No apartment is without flaws but if you love being in the heart of the city, you won't find a better place than this one.

The Unit Was Too Loud!
We were right next to the service elevator and it was too loud at all times. Then you had the HVAC for the retail units up the spiral staircase where the bedroom was and that was extreme loud in the winter. Was told nothing could be done. They could put in new windows. Office staff didn’t care. Maintenance was great and always nice and prompt.
