I have lived in Tammany for several years. I love the location near campus, near parks and plenty of nature and trails. The new management is on top of things and doing a lot of good things. Our maintenance guy rocks. Overall it’s a great place to live.

Broken Heaters
Our heat has broken twice this winter both times during weekends. The second time was on the coldest day of the year. I'll be lucky if I hear back by Monday.

The initial review was submitted before attempting to contact our emergency maintenance phone line. A technician was immediately dispatched to resolve the issue once contact was made.

Maintenance and Management Issue
My experience living here has been extremely neutral. The price I pay for a 2 bedroom with pet rent is hard to beat and I love being close to parks. The bedrooms are a nice size and my apartment was very clean upon move in. The small kitchen is a downside. The leasing officer made the move in process straight forward, however maintenance can be a more of a hassle. They don’t always respond to calls so it’s much easier to get a hold of them via email. Maintenance will come but almost never same... day. The dryer in my building breaks all the time so you have to do your laundry elsewhere. Also, during the winter months the parking lot gets very dangerous since it doesn’t get salted or plowed nearly enough. Overall it’s a good place but there are issues that need to be addressed.

lived here for 4 years
This was a pretty decent place to live for being on a grad student budget and being able to have my pets. While the apartments could definitely use some updates, I was still quite happy with what I had to work with. I would advise caution on which building you end up in based on the way the windows face though... I had west-facing windows in a third floor unit. On those 90-some degree long summer days, the old and needing upgrading wall AC unit could just not keep up. My apartment would be over... 80 degrees for several days in a row in the summers. I stayed because it was a convenient location, a good price, and a pretty safe neighborhood... if I'd had the means to relocate I probably would have just because of the summer heat/AC issue though, but that's not always that important to everyone.
