This apartment complex is the worst! They let the trash outside go weeks without pickup and it stinks so bad. The neighbors were okay I never had a problem. But good luck trying to get anything fixed. The maintenance man is always going around telling people how they are broke and can't afford plumbing service or trash pick up twice a week. I am so glad I got out of that nasty place and for $100 more a month I get a great looking apartment with regular trash pickup and anytime I call... maintenance they are here within 20 minutes. Please take my advice and do not waste your money on this joke of a place. Oh, and I always paid rent on time and never caused any problems. I noticed someone said the ones that write bad reviews were late on rent and bad people. No,I am telling the truth. I really did like the land lady she was very nice. They just need to really work on that place. Rent is just over priced for what you are getting.

So many improvements!
The new manager is doing such a great job turning the place around. She's been kicking out the trouble makers which has made the complex waaayyy better. There's still some work that needs to be done, like a couple potholes in the parking lot, but you can really tell that management is making an effort. All of the other tenants I've spoken to have been saying the same thing so I'm assuming the people who are writing bad reviews are the ones who got kicked out for not paying or bringing trouble to... the complex.

Terrible
The old manager robert was terrible and hes gone now but they hired a new girl named angela and shes just as bad. Nothing gets fixed a woman waited 6 hours for a maintence guy to come and he never showed. Nobody ever called to let her know. The building in front is filled with people who are ectremely loud with a bad weed smell. My patio door handle hasnt gotten fixed because they dont have one to give me? I waited two weeks for a fridge in my apartment. And yes this is all the new manager that... thinks since her daughter doesnt like someone they need to be legally banned from the property. Everyone pays a different amount for rent. No dishwashers work because "she isnt fixing those right now." Overall just a terrible place to live.

If you really need to
The village green is a nice place to live it has a lot of great qualities the apartments are nice they change the carpets for new tenants and they constantly try to keep the buildings clean with a few exceptions until all out 3.5 stars it could use some improvements other than that I think people would have a lot of fun being there

Village Green Of Southgate
I recommend this property! Overall this place is nice. We are in a small 1 bedroom apartment that is the perrect size for my girlfriend and I. We have been here just over 3 months. Quiet neighborhood and friendly staff (Nick C. Has been amazing). I come home late and leave for work quite early and have always felt safe. When we've had some minor repairs that came up, maintenance are very prompt . Finally, be warned that the alarm system they advertise may not work. Many of them have the power... shut off and per the office ataff corporate has to approve them being turned back on. I highly recommend these apartment complex to anyone! They are affordable, friendly, and very nice!
