Good building. Neighborhood...not so much.

Lived here for a year and outside of little nitpicky things we enjoyed the building and mostly the people in it. You WILL hear people above you milling about and you WILL hear music from neighbors from time to time. But mostly tolerable.

The on-site staff and the on-call maintenance guys are absolutely terrific. They're friendly and always keep the place as clean and functioning as possible and any issues are usually dealt with within a day.

Laundry room is pretty mediocre as some of the...
machines just don't work very well and/or are dirty. $1.25 to wash, $1.00 to dry. It's not completely terrible and it's functional but most of the time just easier to go to the laundromat.

Don't bother with the extra money for off-street parking (unless you can get lucky enough to snag a garage). It's on an upper tier and so you have to walk all the way to the end of the building, around the dumpsters and fencing and then all the way back to your car. You're not much safer back there but it might be slightly better in the winter (since Minneapolis doesn't care about side street plowing or maintenance). If you live in the front, you might prefer to park on the street where you can always have an eye on your car.

The biggest problem with this place is across the street. It's cheap rent and already furnished units so the people there are... less than respectful. Talking and loud gatherings go on all night. Every single car has bass thumping at any point during the day or night. They love to use the turnabout in our building for temporary parking. The level of noise and yelling is intolerable and seemingly constant. To top it off, they "remodeled" the outside last fall and painted the building bright pink with giant (and I mean GIANT) white numbers. It's really an eyesore.

Do NOT recommend

This apartment is the worst place I have ever lived. The walls are incredibly thin - I could hear EVERYTHING that happened in my neighbors apartment. I knew more about some person I had never seen than my own family. The washers/dryers are constantly broken and not fixed for weeks at a time. The elevator was out for over a month at one point. They also changed the parking lot from free surface parking to $50 a month and parking on the street isn't easy especially in the winter. My move out... experience was the worst experience I've ever had.
