Going downhill

When my friend first moved to this building I fealt they were getting a steal of a deal. The building was maintained, clean, and quiet. Over the past year though things have taken a turn for the worse. The building is not maintained with no lighting in the parking lot at night( it has now been at least 3 months) and the laundry rooms are never fully working with the washing machines always using cold water even on warm water settings. The neighbors are horrible with their loud music and pulling... the security doors open without using their keys. The hallways are now dirty and smell like cigarette smoke. The parking is not enforced and so even though onsite parking is advertised don't count on it. My friend has complained numerous times and all is documented and still the property company, Van Raden Properties does nothing about the issues. After looking at online reviews for this property company I have found this appears to be how this company operates. They don't return deposits and threaten fees/fines and yet don't do anything to uphold their end as a rental company. My friend feels like her hands are tied at this point. It's horrible to see companies like this take advantage of hard working people just because they can.
