Awesome

Right outside downtown highland park, and a five minute walk from the Mississippi River. Chateau Montreal is in a quiet neighborhood and only minutes from downtown St. Paul.

Fantastic Place to Live

My roommate and I just moved in July 2015. Every part of the process was fantastic. We've had great communication with the apartment management. Our application and lease-signing process was easy and communication was on point. We were impressed from the very beginning with the size of the apartment and the reasonable cost, considering its great location.

Our unit is spacious and comfortable, a two-bedroom corner unit with a large living room, a really nicely sized kitchen, and a dining room....
Both bedrooms are quite large, and having the half-bath in the master bedroom is a major convenience to both of us. Being on the ground floor, safety was a concern for us, but was pre-empted as all windows have at least two locking panes for extra security. We love the layout because it maximizes the apartment space.

The neighborhood is great, and very safe. We're close to several bus stops and to a lovely park near the river. We're also right next to two 35E exits, which makes commuting to the south suburbs or other areas in St. Paul/Minneapolis a piece of cake. The location relative to other hot spots is perfect. We're right off of West 7th (and a Mississippi Market), up the street from Lexington/Randolph (and a Trader Joe's), and near Ford Parkway, and just about everything you could possibly need is 10 minutes away or less.

The only mild inconvenience is that each apartment only gets one parking pass and that there is a waiting list for the garages. However, this is really not a big deal because there is abundant street parking very close to the apartments.

Great for the Price

Reasonably priced apartments, recently remodeled, nice appliances, HUGE walk-in closets, pet friendly, elevator, security buzzer, workout room, and quality maintenance. We have an AWESOME view of downtown St. Paul, everyone has a balcony! The outside of the building could use some TLC, and being so close to S.A. isn't great. We've found plenty of empty liquor bottles on the side street. Also, garages are advertised but rarely available.
