This November it will be 4 years since I moved here. I was living with family members for a short time before moving here and told them i was never going to be able to afford rent in this area due to me being on a fixed income and the only thing i could afford was going to be in an area i didnt want to be. Next thing you know my family pulled up Ballwin Manor with one bedrooms only, for $450 a month. I said no way...it must be a dump. Lol. Came to look at it and the first thing i thought was... that it was too small and i couldnt do it because it didnt have central air!!!! But as i thought about it i decided that there were more pros then cons. The pros were 1. The price was DEFINATELY right, 2. It was in a great location being off Manchester Rd. which has everything you will need! 3. Ballwin is by far one of the nicest areas in St. Louis and it has a low crime rate. 4. Ballwin is also very diversified, you have so many different kinds of people out here. 5. There is a bus stop right at where u turn into the complex so if u dont have transportation its not a problem. 6. You only pay gas, electric and cable...no water, trash, or sewer 7. They have on site management and laundry facillite 8. Police station and Fire Department are a minute or two away. 9. There is a beautiful park across the street and down the hill. 10. Shopping is all around us within walking distance....Marshalls, Steins, Target, Walgreens, Lowes, Applebees, Quick Trip, Aldis, Starbucks just to name several 11. Plenty of parking, a waterpark close by for cheap and a Rec Center close by. 12. Lg. Windows in the apartment, 13. Nice Staff, 14. Work orders are kept up with by maintenance man who is very experienced and friendly. 15. Walk in closet with shelves and two different height clothes bars. I could go on but Im not going too. The cons are few: 1. Wall unit A/c in living room which you most likely will need an additional fan with to pull the air back into the bedroom on the hottest days..i have a stand up one that sits between living room and bedroom when needed. 2. Apartments are small but great for elderly, students, and really singles of any kind. Some people wouldnt be able to do two people but there are plenty of couples in here. Not much kichen counter space and 4 cabinets. Honestly my only real pet peeve is not having a dishwasher just because i hate doing dishes but all the pros overide those cons. And when they raise rent its reasonable!! The End

Overall good!
Excellent one bed apartment. Staff is helpful and professional.Noise is nearly non existent. Was a little concerned about noise but I haven't heard a single peep from any neighbor around or nearby streets. Apartment was clean when I moved in which was nice.
