Hemingway Review

ARKC & Asset Management Group are probably two of the most frustrating management companies I've had the displeasure of working with. Our move in experience we a complete disaster. These companies seem to consistently have transitioning staff from leasing agents to property managers and it can be difficult to work with the same person even for a short amount out time. Apartment complex upkeep has been pretty lackluster, to say the least. I find myself having to communicate simple maintenance... tasks to the property manager because they do seem they walk to the property. The number of unacceptable issues we have had to deal with has been at the top end of the spectrum of aggravation. I would never recommend an apartment managed by ARKC & Asset Management Group to anyone. In 6 months of living at one of their units I've had to endure:
• A leaking roof - 4 plus requests before it was fixed
• 2 weeks of non-working AC unit in the summer
• Homeless people spending the nights in our parking lots and stairwell - Was informed by management to handle it ourselves
• An infestation of wolf spiders from a patchwork of flooring in the utility closet
• Shut off water on occasion due to problems in other units - without notice
• Missing screens from our window upon move in
• A landlord v. dumpster/trash co. standoff that led to a missing dumpster unit for over 2 weeks
• Unsupervised subcontractors coming into our unit w/o notice
• Nonfunctioning mail boxed for over 7 Weeks
• A terrible move in experience including a transitions of leasing agents 3 days before move in
• 3 property managers in 4 months before ARKC subcontracted the property management to another company
• Several incorrect charges to our rental balance
• Unresponsive after-hours emergency maintenance line
• And having to act as the onsite property manager with no one from the company actually walking the grounds on a consistent basis.
• Also, some one's car was stolen from out lot and ARKC did not clean up the glass from the busted window until over 2 weeks later
