There was no heating, and then there was no cooling for a few months. Eventually, though, they imported a space heater and mobile A/C unit to heat and cool my unit. No complaints, but it's not the central heating, central A/C unit I thought I was getting when I signed my lease. Those units really only heated/cooled one room, and because I normally stayed in the bedroom with TV, it didn't bother me. But that wasn't the only problem with the unit. My refrigerator, at some point, was not longer... keeping my vegetables fresh enough to eat. There was a pathetic excuse for a freezer on top of the mini fridge. I bought fish and ice cream, but I knew it was a weak freezer and it never surprised me when the freezer food went bad. When my vegetables and salad dressings started to sour, wilt, and rot wayyy before their "due date" I asked the former Railton manager, and maintenance staff to take a look at the fridge. I didn't do it once or twice. I did it EXACTLY FIVE TIMES! I really don't know if they even looked at it to be honest with you, but I do know nothing was done. I threw out so many vegetables and fish, I can't even begin to estimate. The elevators went down a few times a month as well, which didn't bother me much, unless I encountered a man in his sixties, walking with a cane, trying to scale the steps as I descended. What DID bother me though is when the water would suddenly go off, SEVERAL times a month with absolutely NO warning.
