If safety is a priority for you DO NOT MOVE HERE! Multiple break in's. Gun shots late at night. Breezeways not maintained. Then they send emails out about they’re not responsible for tenants safety. Overall not a good experience.

The apartment complex is very dirty , dogs waste are every where , from children's playing area to common walking place. The common places , stairs , gym are very dirty . Most of the times the AC is off in gym . Stray cats are everywhere .

Very unsafe .Shooting incidents are very common in this area and within the complex . Car will get scratches and vandalized in parking area .

The management is worst , They put so much of false move-out charges on me which they cannot justify . Upon... requesting to give proper justification they stop responding and threatening me to pay that amount otherwise they would send it to collection agency .

The management stuff stops my internet connection one day before the move out . When contacted they did not give any positive response . Most of the times the management stuffs responded without any solution but only customary response .

When I moved in this community they have gate but they later removed the gate and after that shoot out incidents become very common . It is one of the worst place to live . Read More

I have lived at MAA South Tryon for 7 years and I have to say I have not had not one problem. The only reason I moved was because I wanted of a more luxury apartment. They are very spacious and the price is pretty decent for the area that's its in and it close to everything highways eating places Walmart and plenty of other stores. It use to be a gated community so I was a little bummed out that they removed the gate but I understood cause people kept breaking it. I also think they should get... Valet Trash as its very convenient to the residents and a good look for the community. Tavia the manager of the complex is very sweet and responds quickly to your needs.

I broke my lease to leave this place. Constant management turnover & lack of empathy, crime, neighbors letting their dogs urinate & defecate on patios. It was a dream first apartment, but went downhill quickly. I’m so glad I left.

I first moved in these apartments 10 years ago and it was a nice community. The neighbors were friendly and it was quiet. The office staff was nice and maintenance took care of whatever I needed. This place is no longer the nice, quiet community I first moved into. The gates were removed, noise is louder, people speed through the parking lot, there are more and more complaints of car break ins, the trash is left piled, I even saw some random person sleeping by the pool and they allow any piece... of crap off the street with a check book to move in. I will gladly not be renewing this lease after 10 years of calling this place home. The price is not worth the headache of having weird neighbors . I even miss the old maintenance staff. The new ones take forever to fix anything and management seems uninterested in legitimate concerns.
