Don’t move here

The complex looked really appealing when toured but it has really gone down hill and the apartments don’t look like the ones they will have you tour. I’ve seen them ‘clean up’ the property which is actually them just blowing everything to a pile and then running it over with a lawn mower which makes it look really bad. Grass would look so much better and safer than ground up sticks, leaves and mulch. They raise the price of the rent but then dull down the add ons, pest control? Basically... nonexistent. Dog park? Fake grass that causes the dogs to slip and burn their paws. Pool? Closed 90% of the time because of issues. Gym? Honestly not necessarily worth it either. Good luck getting management to respond to a call or the front office to actually answer. Had to call multiple times for issues to be resolved. Corporate doesn’t even call back when there’s an issue. I don’t recommend living here.

Don’t waste your money

While the apartment itself is somewhat decent, the office/management team are truly awful. Upon moving in, there were a few maintenance requests that I had submitted. The office called and told me that maintenance was backed up but would soon get to my requests. They never fixed the issues, even after I submitted new maintenance requests. Also, their office hours say 9am, however no matter what time of day I call no one ever picks up. I usually have to call about 4-5 times to get a human on the... other end. Lastly, new tenants moved in the apartment above me with two dogs who persistently barked throughout the day, every day. I made several complaint calls to the office and nothing was ever done. Working two jobs and long days is hard enough without two barking dogs waking me up at 7:30am and not stopping until the owners got home. Do not live here, there are far better places.

This is not where you want to live

Do not move here. Ever. I hate this place. We recently got new management and it's been terrible. We can no longer pay rent via an electronic check. The customer service is Terrible. I received a package and got to office while someone was in the office and she refused to give me package which would have taken her less than three minutes even though she stayed in the office for over ten minutes after I left. They are unreasonable and they don't care about the residents. Maintenance requests are... typically ignored and the they even recently changed the hours of the 24/7 gym and community room which for someone who is at work whenever the community is open is very unfair especially when we signed a lease which included 24/7 availability. The pictures online do not represent what you actually get either. Do not move here.

At first, Regatta at Lake Lynn seemed like a perfect fit for my roomate and I. We moved into the complex a year ago, at first, we received nothing but good customer service from Marcia and the team. We loved the location, the pools, the gym and especially how spacious and comfortable our apartment was. The maintenance staff was always friendly, helpful and efficient, always fixing our issue within 24 hours of the maintenance request. Everything about Regatta seemed great, UNTIL it was time... for us to move out. 4 days after we moved out of our apartment, the staff decided us to call us and let us know, "by the way after not turning in your keys for 4 days we charged you per day for rent" So instead of letting us know to turn the keys in upon move out day (my roomate had been in and out of the leasing office), the staff decided to wait until the charges added up for 4 days until we were given a phone call to return the keys (WE WERE TOLD THEY CHANGE THE LOCKS ANYWAY!) On top of this, my roomate and I received a notice that upon move out, the "maintenance crew" noticed that we "ruined the carpet and blinds". Attached to the e-mail were photos of a chewed windowsill, broken blinds, chewed carpet and a wall that clearly had bite marks in it. I knew immediately that there must have been some sort of mixup, as my roomate and I never had animals enter our apartment at any point during our lease, and on top of that we took VERY good care of the apartment, cleaning and vacuuming daily. So we calmy sent an e-mail to Monica, the assistant manager, stating there was obviously a mixup (A HUGE MIXUP CHARGING US OVER 400$) we are on week 2 of this matter, and the HUGE mixup still has not been addressed, several emails were sent, and we have not received a notice or apology from the complex. I have never in my life dealt with such irresponsiblity from an apartment complex. The situation is still pending, due to THEIR mistake. This is an unprofessional, irresponsible way to deal with tenants who were always on time with their payments, quiet, respectful and took good care of their apartment. I am extremely dissapointed in the staff at Regatta. They are unorganized, and were quick to charge us for mistakes that were made on THEIR part, and this is a terrible way to end a lease. DO NOT LIVE HERE if you want to deal with a staff that is unprofessional and unorganized.

Comfortable Living

My current apartment is adequate to comfortable. Raleigh, NC has become a high rent area, though, which is the draw back. The staff and maintenance crew at the apartment complex are very good and quick to address any maintenance concerns, which makes living arrangements comfortable. The apartment itself could use some updating, though, as the complex is a bit on the older side. Overall, the apartment and the area surrounding it is nice and peaceful.
