Foster’s Place, Dover NH

I just moved from this apartment after a year’s lease. It was a wonderful time in this extremely well maintained recently renovated historic building in the center of town. Highly recommend! Attentive and friendly landlord.

Best Apartment Ever!

My husband and I have lived at Foster's Place for almost two years, and we can both say with certainty that it is the best apartment complex, with the best management, that we have ever had the privilege to rent from.

The whole place is clean, well-maintained, and extremely secure. George and the team are always on top of everything, from mail and packages to snow plowing. We've had no issues at all and any maintenance is taken care of before we even have to request it.

Neighbors are friendly...
and we never hear noise from other apartments. Garbage and parking are also easy (and clean!).

It is truly a pleasure to live in this charming place that is run by such a kind and attentive landlord. The location is also perfect--walking distance to downtown and right next to a park.

The only reason we are moving out is because a change of military orders is taking us to another state. We will miss Foster's Place!

Loved living here!

Location is excellent! Our 2 BR with balcony overlooked Henry Law Park right in the heart of downtown. Always something going on, but the bedroom layout makes it very quiet. Easy walk to coffee shops, restaurants, post office, gyms, hardware store, Dover library, the Woodman Museum, and the transportation center. The apartment is modern and beautiful with new appliances, washer-dryer, and granite counters! Windows and slider to the balcony provide plenty of natural light. Assigned parking,... fey fob building access, and security cameras provide peace of mind. The landlords are a local family and are outstanding. They are hands on, genuine, hardworking, energetic, and quick to respond to any issues which were few and far between. If you are looking for a great downtown experience look no further. Highly recommend!

Excellent place to live

Foster’s Place is a wonderful building! The location is a great combination of seacoast NH charm and tranquility, along with the “walkable” lifestyle that you would expect from being in a bigger city. There are many great restaurants, bars, bakeries, coffee shops, plus local attractions like the Children’s Museum, Indoor pool, several public parks, etc. all within a short walk.

The units are well built and include modern amenities: electric heating/AC splits in all rooms, stainless steel...
appliances, washer/dryer in each unit, quality double-pane windows from Anderson, fast internet, etc. Many have nice views of Henry Law Park and the river, and a lot have private balconies although mine didn’t.

There aren’t really any shared amenities (roof deck, gym, lounge, game room) but that’s fine for people seeking privacy and a tranquil, quiet environment. Other buildings nearby probably have more of a “dorm” feeling if that’s what you’re looking for. The neighbors are nice and many have dogs - it's a very dog-friendly building.

The best part of Foster’s Place is George and the rest of the Kostis family, who are the best landlords I’ve ever had - polite, reasonable, responsive, and thoughtful. They respond to calls and emails the same day, often within minutes, and work hard to resolve any issues. They’re genuinely nice people and you can tell they really care about the property and the community.

Available units tend to go quickly, but if you can get one, I don’t think there’s a better place to live downtown. If they had larger units (3 or 4 bedrooms) we would have stayed longer!
