Nice apartment complex with lots of units. I stayed in a 1bd/1bath for a year and it was perfect for me, young teacher just starting out. The unit was newly renovated with LOTS of space and storage. I was right next to the laundry room which was nice, but often in use (to no fault of any, it happens when you have lots of units occupied). The only other con was parking could be a bit tough, I often had to park a bit of a walk from my actual apartment. Overall well maintained and helpful... management.

Not what I expected
Thin floors meant you can hear the music from downstairs neighbor at all hours which management wouldn’t care about. Lots of pot smokers all around also.

Cockroaches
My boyfriend moved into this apartment complex in late June 2018 and it is now October 2018. I am seeing a lot of cockroaches in his kitchen and now I am starting to see them in his living room. The property is aware of the problem and they have yet to address this issue. For me this is unacceptable on how they are handling this situation. If you do decide to move into this apartment complex stay away from Princeton arms North 2 apartments.

Extremely disgusting
I moved into Princeton Arms about 6 years ago, and I am so very happy and blessed that I was able to move out. It was actually a nice place when I first moved in and then downhill from there. First and foremost they charge a high price for rent with only one amenity and that is the laundry room which like in a comment prior to mine you always have a broken washer and it’s not their responsibility to fix it you have to personally call the person who owns the machines to get reimbursed which is... insane because the machines are literally broken every week. Now never mind the laundry room, these people are thieves and will soon get caught! If you are even 20 days late for rent, not only do they charge you late fees but they charge you the extra $250 in court costs even if you pay prior to 30days late. It’s disgusting how money hungry they are and the judge they use if you have to go to court actually works with them. It is a shame. They have ROACHES! And they tell you not to use your own bate. Why do I have to call once a week on a Tuesday for an exterminator? They were infested in the dishwasher and the entire kitchen. Once the neighbor downstairs moved out the roaches all moved up. It made me feel disgusted to live there. I worked and barely had time to call every Tuesday, but if you know your buildings are infested with roaches then do something about it. They never painted after 5 years and never cleaned the carpet. I had to pay out of pocket to shampoo the beige carpet they have in each room. I could not even take most of my stuff with me due to me not wanting to drag along the roaches. I have multiple pictures and I’m waiting for the court date. Oh and if your 20 days late on your rent they post a sign on your door for all the neighbors to see. I would not ever recommend this place to even an ant. The only good thing I have to say is that the rental ladies are very nice ladies and Marie from corporate was extremely helpful even though in the beginning we butted heads. She has to do her job, but once you get to know her she was a nice person. The maintenence men that were there when I first moved in and the lady maintenence worker were amazing. Now the newer staff is just not the same. Nice but not the same. The man that works in that corporate office the so called lawyer was just so unprofessional! And the secretary who never even cracks a smile may not be happy. They have no compassion for people! I am so angry and disgusted that I had to share.

Rent anywhere else!
I lived here for 8 years in the North building. When my husband and I moved in, management was superb, the grounds were well kept, maintenance was responsive, the laundry rooms were clean...Unfortunately, one by one, all these things went away and it got much worse very quickly the last 2-3 years we were there.
Repairs we requested for our apartment were not complete - our upstairs neighbors must drip dry everything because moisture from their floor soaked into our ceiling. Maintenance's... solution was to cut out the bad sheet rock and cover it up with some plywood and spackle. Someone was supposed to come back and paint, but never did. Needless to say, just a few weeks later, the spackle was again wet and we started getting mold.
Oh, also, the neighbors love to flush paper towels, feminine products and cell phones which caused our bathroom to erupt several times. Good luck to whoever gets that bathroom next.
The walls are thin and you can hear everything. The plumbing is antiquated and if you run your water, at least 3 of your neighbors will too. You'll either end up with frost bite or nuclear burns.
The dumpsters are overflowing most days and garbage is blown all over the parking lot and your yard.
Gangs have moved in as doors in certain buildings have been graffiti'd. There was a fire in the complex across the street this past spring. The whole building burned to the ground. Also, there was a car fire in the parking lot last winter at the convenience store across the street too. Awesome.
There is a questionable taxi service that hangs around and I doubt they're only providing driving services as they wait in the parking lot all night.
The lighting is poor and going out at night to put out your trash, or walk your dog doesn't feel nearly as safe as it should anymore.
The laundry rooms are hot mess, always dirty and at least 1 machine broken all the time.
It's a shame this community went downhill the way it did. For as expensive as this place is, you'd think they'd invest at least a little back into it to keep it decent. I wouldn't recommend a rat live here.
