Bugs,Bugs,Bugs if you look this place up there have been murders and shootings . Every bathroom vent is connected to each other so imagine what your smelling and hearing . There is no security of any kind video surveillance or any other each building has 4 main entrances . Homeless have been found to be sleeping under the foundation which is inside the buildings also homeless have gotten into the laundry rooms and barricaded them self in it . Apartments are easily broken into they say u must... have renters insurance and u better but even with it stuff that means something to you that can’t be replaced . The walls are paper thin so be ready to hear everybody talking in other apartments that means toilets flushing, phones ringing, arguments, music blasting , if ppl live above you and have hardwood floors you’ll hear every step . Last of all watch were u park your car if it rains or storms and a tree falls on it hope ur insurance covers it because they won’t have anything to do with it ...So if you want to live here may God

Pretty spacious
I just moved in a little over six months ago and I really love the place because the floors are hardwood in the kitchen is open style which I love.
I met with Kim who is the leasing manager here who was very gracious to show me a couple of her properties that she actually leases for l, but I really wanted a third floor and it was wonderful to finally land a decision. It's nice because there's no one on top of me and it's just a nice view.
Although Parkside Manor doesn't have a pool I was told... that I was allowed to use the Eastgate apartments pool which is across the street. Other than that I find the community really nice and convenient to everywhere I need to Bay.

My 1st apartment
I moved in a couple of months ago and I really love the area.
Kim the leasing manager showed me around and was extremely friendly and that made me feel very welcomed because I had been to a couple of other places and they seem to not have time for me.
I really love my apartment and the floors the only thing that I would say is a little inconvenient is the fact that I have to put money on a card for the laundry and the card dispenser is in another building to do it each and every time I have... to but I only have to do it once a month.
Overall though, I find that the bathrooms are really spacious and the kitchen is open which I really love because it doesn't confine me with any walls because I have a rather big living room set.
I am very happy this is my first apartment and I'm very excited.

Good enough for our first place, but...
We moved into a one bedroom at Parkside Manor about a year ago, and it has served us well, but for various reasons, we won't be renewing our lease. I'll start with the positives. The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable, and it has a pleasant layout with nice hardwood floors and lots of closet space for a building of this vintage. There's always plenty of available parking close to the building.
Now for the negatives. There's no ventilation fan in the bathroom - instead, there's a large... screened vent in the wall that connects to the outside...and the bathrooms of the apartments on the two other floors. Between this, the hardwood floors, and the shoddy 1970s building materials, you can hear EVERYTHING from adjacent apartments. I'm talking being able to hear the actual words being spoken in conversations upstairs, or knowing what's on TV based on the very clearly audible theme song emanating through the ceiling.
The property manager is very friendly and personable and seems to be dedicated to dealing with maintenance calls promptly when he receives them personally. However, he manages another property, where it seems he spends the majority of his time, and many more times than not, the phone here goes unanswered, sometimes for several days in a row. The voicemail box has been full and unable to take new messages for the entire duration of our lease. We've scheduled appointments for maintenance calls with other people who've answered the phone and had nobody show up until days late, if at all. This wasn't a huge problem for the small issues, like a broken soap compartment door on the dishwasher. Much more of an issue for the leak in the bathroom ceiling that took weeks and weeks to be addressed. (Turned out that it was never actually fixed the first time, and there's a new, worse leak now, which again would not have been a problem if the person I spoke to on the phone had actually shown up for the appointment we scheduled.)
To sum up this essay of a review, if it was possible to give a 2.5 star rating, I think that's what it deserves. Our experience here has been far from terrible. The issues we've had are not unexpected in a building of this age, and we recognize that inattentive management/unresponsive maintenance is a problem almost everywhere. That being said, we're looking forward to the possibility of a better experience at our next place.
