The worst Maintenance department

I wish I could give them a zero ..rude staff , worst maintenance . No courtesy at all , the trash area is always stinky . If we have any issues it takes ages for them to fix it . They don’t adress the issue until you call them a 100 times . I would not recommend this place at all . Best place to stay but worst staff ever .

Convenient, Clean, Peaceful.

For this area, it's good value for money. We lived there for 5 years in a 1br+loft apt.

Some cons:
1. The neighbors tend to be hit or miss. I had good neighbors for the most part, but for some strange reason the unit below always attracted crazies. Often domestic violence episodes would break out at 6 in the morning and that went on for two tenant terms over 18 months.
2. Also neighbors smoking is a big issue and the no smoking policy is not strictly enforced. Also the pet poo is a problem as...
some tenants just don't care to follow the policies.
3. Apartment loft I had was a good bit of extra space, but couldn't be used for too long. I did use it for a year or two as office space and I ended up developing a low oxygen saturation problem (<90 level) due to hitting unit proximity. So I strongly suggest to be careful about your loft usage unless you take the correct precautionary measures.
4. I had purchased their lease break (offered after 1 year stay with them) option to vacate at the 60 days notice, but in reality there were added restrictive clauses and I ended up losing 11 days extra rent. This was captured in the fine print of the agreement so legally they didn't do anything wrong, but I felt cheated.
5. Merging on 27 north is the ultimate pain you would experience in your life. Be very very careful. It's an accident prone merging.
6. We had 1 car vandalism in recent time so the safety is getting compromised. The management needs to do something.
7. A big rent increase every year. Greedy management.

Some pros:
1. I think it's expensive, but good value for money. Apartments are in decent shape and when you account for all utilities its not the worst deal in the area as utility bills are modest and most other things are covered including internet/cable and even gym.
2. Great maintenance crew and groundskeeping. Also office staff is professional. The parent company and accounting are not that great and I didn't have a positive experience.
3. If you manage to get an apartment facing the preserve, then the air and light can be terrific. We had amazing time watching sunrise and sunset from inside the apartment.
4. High ceilings for the loft version! Would be tough to go back.
5. Lots of trails and walking options in the area.
6. Noise level is very low for the preserve facing apartments.
7. Pool and gym are decent before they closed it down due to covid.
8. Parking is not too bad.
9. Direct NYC bus outside the club house. Very convenient.

If I could give a negative star, it would still be too much!

This place looks nice when you're touring around, but the walls are paper thin. I knew all about my neighbor's martial problems and they weren't even talking that loud. I had to turn on the TV because I just didn't want to know those kinds of details about people I would see everyday. I was just thankful that a baby didn't live next door -- otherwise it would have been torture! Maintenance is totally non-responsive and management is very nice when you sign the lease, but rude and dismissive... once you're a resident. The closets are poorly designed. Hangars don't fit in the hall closet and the master bedroom closet hold so few clothes that we had to create a makeshift closet downstairs. Disappointing, very disappointing.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible

If I could give this place a negative star, it would still be too much. At first everything was great. Loved the location and the apartment, but one night at midnight sewer water backed up into my kitchen sink and overflowed onto the floor, extending into the living room and saturating the carpet. It took begging and pleading to get maintenance to come out, but then they refused to help me clean. So at 1am, because it's a full hour later of this putrid water flowing all over the counters,... under the sink and drenching everything, and I'm all by myself taking the bucket back and forth to the front yard to dump out the stomach churning disgusting water. I called the office the next morning to request a professional cleaning, no response. I called the next day and still no action, so I finally bleached everything -- a full three days after the event! Management and Maintenance treated me like I was the problem! Beware of these people. Just awful!

Best Apartments in the Area!

After living here for a year and having to move for relocation for our jobs, my husband and I were so sad to leave. Our 1200 square foot apartment was spacious, including a HUGE finished/unfinished basement, a laundry area, and over-sized bathroom and stainless steel appliances. Our rent was affordable, and the amenities were outstanding. I loved using the gym each day, the pool during the summer months, and using the grills and the business center. The movie theater was also a great place to... spend time with friends. Close to shopping, New Brunswick, Princeton, NYC, Philly...the list goes on! There's even a private bus line that takes community commuters straight to Manhattan. Don't settle for a smaller place---you need to live at Green Hill!
