Lots of surprises-all good

Moved into a 1BR/1.5BA garage unit in May.
I am always concerned about cleanliness but when I moved in it was surprisingly much cleaner than expected. 9 out of 10 on this - would be 10 but I found hair in the washing machine door grommet.
Management has been responsive to emails though I haven't needed them much. 9 out of 10.
Physical premises are excellent - high quality fixtures and I was surprised at the AWESOME amount of light provided by the recessed fixtures. Temp controls easy to use...
- HVAC is quite effective. Electronical outlets everywhere. Dishwasher is loud but appliances otherwise very good. Full size, modern washer/dryer is important to me and these do not disappoint. Windows have a good seal, keeps out the "weather". Bathroom is quite large and shower is superb. More than adequate closet space and was surprised that there is a private storage room I had not seen until I moved in. Also surprised that the window shades are high quality rather than the cheap plastic crap usually found in apartments. Very wide staircase and outside door so moving in was not difficult. Premises overall 9 out of 10 except 10/10 on the bathrooms.
I have not used any of the amenities - not sure where they are - so no comment on those.
Community is very pleasant. There is an occasional train noise. Trains to not bother me, trucks do, and I have not had noise issues from trucks. If trains bother you, probably a good idea to hang out before renting.
Online payment portal is easy to use and understand.
Maintenance showed up a few times (once by request) without advance notice to allow me to put pants on or close out a conference call. Mildly annoying having someone be able to enter your apartment if you don't answer their knock, even if you're in the bathroom or on a conference call. 5 out of 10 for maintenance, just due to lack of advance notice.
OVERALL a 9/10.

Overpriced and poorly built

The development looks pretty to the eye and will lure you in. But, once you're in, good luck. We had one of the 2 bed/2 bath apartments on the 2nd floor. Footsteps come in pretty loud from the upstairs neighbors. The property is dog friendly, so there are lots of dogs. But this isn't great if you have a reactive dog. The pool is always heated to 87 degrees and is only open in the summer. Not refreshing at all. They have 4 ChargePoint EV charging stations on site, but if you ask me, they need at... least 2 more to keep up with the demand.

Oh, and almost forgot. It took them 5 visits to fix our A/C in the blazing hot summer. Then, winter came around and realized that the heat wasn't working, so we had to call service again.

I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone. They have a lot of issues to work through before I'd consider them a good option.
