Very Nice

I moved to Southgate apartments a year ago and also being my first time renting on my own I can’t put into words how smooth it’s been. The Landlord Anthony has made this experience that much better. Whatever questions I’ve had or things I needed to get fixed I could always rely on him to get things done. Much appreciated and definitely a good place to live especially for a starter home.

Great place, great super

Called and spoke to a nice gentleman named Anthony he was friendly and answered all my questions, after viewing I walked around and spoke to about 4 to 5 tenants they only had good things to say about complex and the superintendent, is great and keeps the place neat and is a great guy, we stayed only cause of how hes turned things around, glad we moved in thanks again love the complex

Don’t Waste Your Time

The super is rude, lazy and seems to not care if tenants are taken care of. The landlord/owner is never present, hard to reach and a nasty woman when presented with issues that aren’t being fixed by the super. Don’t waste your time or money. These apartments always have a listing because nobody wants to renew their lease. Apartment wasn’t cleaned upon move in, when addressing a carpenter ant problem I was told something would be done but nothing was. Super’s kids run around unsupervised knocking... on people’s doors or in the quadrant not being watched by an adult. Super was efficient upon move in but after my year lease is up and since then, barely meets job expectations. Sad for the price you pay.

Excellent Maintenance/Manager

I wanted to express what a great job our new Manager, (Anthony) of the property is doing. We are so impressed of what a fantastic job he is doing around the common area as well as if we have any problems within the unit.

Previous years have not been so great with the area looking terrible and not being cleaned within the buildings or thing's not being fixed.

Now, Anthony is friendly, professional, courteous and is always helpful when needed. We see him in and out of the buildings cleaning...
hallways, mopping, etc and is very timely when we call to have something checked or fixed.

We are very impressed and hope that the upper management team recognizes him for the great job he is doing. You are very lucky to have him running the complex.

Keep up the great work!

Not such a nice place

Although this apartment may look nice in the pictures and have some nice amenities, like the free hot water and heat, it has some serious issues. Firstly is the on sight maintenance. They are hardly ever seen and it doesn't seem like they do anything at all. The only garunteed time you will see them is when they deliver your statement saying rent is due. The grass goes unattended for long periods of time and there is trash everywhere. Now trash isn't all the complex's responsibility, some of... that falls on the people that throw it on the ground, but somebody has to pick it up and that job belongs to maintenance. No lie, there has been the remnants of a destroyed table laying in the grass now for over 3 months and s car battery sitting by the curb for almost a week. There are also unfinished projects like holes dug under buildings with shovels and rakes just laying around in the same spot no for the better half of 5 months. And when you ask what's going on with all this stuff? The answer is always " you can't imagine how busy I have been". Unexceptable. And the company that owns the property? You'd have a better chance at getting answers from a rock.
