Great location, apartment and staff!

I've lived here for a while and I love it. I love the location across from a good hospital and walking distance to a food store. The neighbors are quiet and keep to themselves which is a huge plus. Its a great side of town and pretty private.

The only cons I have is that there are no in unit washer and dryers, no real drawer space in the kitchen and you have a swamp cooler

Although you have a laundry room that is open 24/7 with cable in it, I miss having a washer and dryer but you work with...
what you got and it's safe in there. People often leave stuff for free and you can leave your clothes there a while and not fear of theft. Also they have a camera in there.

The drawer space in the kitchen is pretty limited in my 2b2b. When I moved in I realized I didnt have space for my silverware in the drawer insert that keeps them separate from each other. The drawers are very thin but I can see why and wouldn't sacrifice my dishwasher for anything so its not a big deal. I just have a silverware drawer that isnt very neat.

Also, the swamp cooler is well maintained and works but after you have had refrigerated air, nothing compares.

The staff is great! They are there when they say they will be and are always polite and professional. The maintenance guys are great and they come the same day about 99% of the time and are always nice and professional as well.

The apartments are nice, spacious and well maintained. They have good appliances like a gas range. They just need to get rid of the carpet and put vinyl down everywhere (but that's my opinion so maybe add that as a con but it's really not that bad.) The balcony is spacious enough to have a table and chairs but not a big one. The view is also really nice depending on your apartment during hot air balloon season.

The first few weeks that the pool is open, they heat it. After a few weeks you dont need it heated. The pool is very well maintained also and never too crowded or dirty. The staff throws parties every now and then to bring residents together and they do show their appreciation for us. The gym is nice and I never have a problem getting a machine.

All in all, it's one of the best apartments in nw abq that's non tax credit and still affordable.

Ps. Dont raise the rent because of my glowing review.

Quiet and Relaxing

I've lived here for 6 months and have no major complaints. The views are nice and the staff is friendly. The large one bedroom is pretty big and roomy.

Puerta Del Sol

We recently moved in the Puerta Del Sol apartments, about 2 months ago, and we are very pleased. Let me start with the drive in. The grass is always fresh cut and green, and the buildings look well maintained. Then you pass by the wonderfully blue, gated pool which is always nice because the temperature is often above 100 degrees here in New Mexico. The apartments are very spacious and clean, I was shocked by this since the price was surprisingly low. The walls were newly painted and the... countertop was recently resurfaced and as I cook I appreciate that. Every apartment has a lovely balcony that has a view of the city lights. The only downside is there are no washer and dryers, there is a mini laundromat that is centrally located next to the office and pool. Everyone of my neighbors that I have met has been super friendly and helpful, much like the management. We were even told to give the office a call and maintenance would come mount our flat screen for us! We love living here and are happy we shopped around a bit longer so we could find this place. I have recomend Puerta Del Sol to many people and I will continue to do so!

P.S. I forgot to mention the property is located directly next door to Smith's and straight across the street from a hospital which is always comforting.
